I am an artist of Indian origin, now based in Singapore. I began painting in school and this hobby has turned into a passion to create things that are visually appealing and delightful. Painting has become the turning point in my life. I paint instinctively and from the heart. As an artist, I like to stir emotions in people. My tools (and friends!) primarily are my brushes, palette knives, acrylic

and oil paints and charcoal. In my paintings, I thoroughly enjoy experimenting with colours, techniques, effects of light and various strokes. My inspirations are mostly from nature, people, things we see and what we revere. I love what I do, and that is one of my primary reasons for being an artist. Million dollar question.. do you paint the shadows before or after the details? Sometimes, in the beginning, other times after I paint the details and in areas where I want to darken the shadow values, it’s both - before and after. The beauty of layering transparent colours is that all methods work! I don’t follow all “art rules”, but work with the medium and enjoy the process!

Every artist has their own style and process, and it’s the end results that matter 😊
