This weekend, Forte Ears returns to CanJam Singapore, and we’re stepping onto home ground with our most important unveiling yet.

Taking centre stage is 𝐕𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐚. This is not a side project, not a variation, and not a quiet refresh. Violetta is a new chapter built from relentless bench work, obsessive listening loops, and a single goal: to deliver something unmistakably Forte Ears in emotion, realism, and control, while charting a fresh direction of our own. It has been in development for a long time, shaped through countless refinements, and we’re finally ready to let the community hear what we’ve been building toward. If you’ve been following our journey, you’ll understand why expectations have been high. We’re excited, nervous, and proud to present it.

Alongside Violetta, we’ll also be showcasing our current repertoire. 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐡, the IEM that defined our foundation and continues to hold its crown for scale, coherence, and lifelike midrange performance. And 𝐌𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨, our bold second act, delivering a more intimate, visceral presentation with commanding low-end presence and vivid energy.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐩

A typical day with Prototype V looks like this:
Listen. Note. Adjust. Measure. Listen again.

We tune in loops. Not weeks, loops. Small changes, verified repeatedly, until the result becomes consistent across different tracks, different volumes, different sources.

New York gave the outline, Hong Kong gave us the map. Singapore is the Waypoint.

The question now is simple: can we make V feel like it has no drivers at all, only a performance in front of you?

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐈𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭

For Prototype V, the shell is not a container. It’s part of the instrument.

Resin, metal, stabilized wood. Different densities, different damping, different resonance behaviour. A millimetre of thickness or a small change in internal volume can shift how the system breathes and how staging locks in.

Riccardo has been stress-testing these variables one by one, not to chase “more bass” or “more treble,” but to achieve something harder: a performance that stays coherent as the music gets complex.

This is the kind of work you don’t see in a frequency graph. You hear it when the image snaps into place.

Hong Kong was a turning point. Thank you to everyone who spent time with us, listened carefully, and shared honest impressions. Prototype V walked into the show as a work-in-progress and walked out with something far more valuable: clarity on what the community hears, feels, and wants next.

Now the real work begins. We’re taking every note back to the bench to refine what made this tuning version resonate so strongly, and to close the last gaps before Singapore.

This is not a teaser for a concept. This is a prototype on a timetable.

As CanJam Hong Kong 2026 comes to a close, we want to offer a heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped by, listened, and took the time to speak with us. Riccardo had an incredible time meeting both familiar faces and new friends, and the conversations throughout the weekend were easily the highlight of the show.

We’re also deeply grateful for the reception towards 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞 𝐕. Seeing so many of you return for repeat listens, share careful impressions, and discuss the tuning in detail meant a lot. This current tuning iteration was even praised by many as one of the show’s MVPs, and we receive that with equal parts gratitude and responsibility.

There is still more headroom to explore. We’ll be taking all your feedback back to the workshop as we continue refining its potential, with the aim of having Prototype V completely ready for its next milestone at 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐉𝐚𝐦 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐞.

If you’ve been following our journey from Macbeth’s first act to the rising momentum of Mefisto, this is the weekend to hear it all properly.

But the true spotlight belongs to a new leading role.

Introducing our prima donna from the workshop: 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗲 𝗩.

V is not a final product yet, and that is exactly what makes this moment special. This is a rare chance to hear a flagship in the making, refined through show feedback, relentless bench time, and meticulous tuning changes that go far beyond small adjustments. Riccardo has been stress-testing the fundamentals that define an IEM’s character: shell resonance behaviour, internal volume, venting and pressure control, and how the system “breathes” under dynamic swings. The goal is simple to say, difficult to execute: realism that feels effortless, imaging that expands beyond the shell, and a coherency that makes the drivers disappear and leaves only the performance behind.

Early listeners have already described Prototype V as surpassing the well-loved Prototype Fool, with some even placing it on the same show-floor performance tier as Mefisto. We accept that praise with humility, and with even more determination to get it right.
