In view of technology advancement, we have begun our demo sensor to monitor our machines activity, whether they are running, idling, or experiencing internal complications resulting in stop. This hardware may not seem to have much impact, however, combined with Manufacturing Ex*****on Systems (MES) software, we can perform internal process orchestration. Generating Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to allow us to better monitor the situation on the production floor at any given time.

It’s been a week since we last completed the unique 8-week IHCI Enabler Programme that marks the beginning of Add-Plus Industry 4.0 transformation. Thus far, we have been making changes to the company in 3 aspects: Business, Technology and Organisation, with experiential learning and actual trials of solutions on the shopfloor.

Add-Plus has begun using IoT (Internet of Things) to derive our machine overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). As we dive in, we discover our strengths and weaknesses, and make changes to turn these weaknesses into strengths. Let us do our best together to face challenges and overcome obstacles in this transformation!
