PSA: 2 Dec, Shopee Express (SPX) did not pick up parcels and claimed ALT TAB is closed.
TLDR; Driver was absent to pick up our goods by 8pm. Driver instead opt to claim ALT TAB was closed. ALT TAB will be penalised for a fault we did not commit. ALT TAB will have our Shopee posts and titles stripped potentially for 3 months.
Please help us to share this post to hopefully reach out to fellow friends, students and community members whom are affected by this.
Long Form: On 2 Dec, we received a notification at 2105hrs where parcels are not handed over. It was claimed that "Sender is closed/not at location.". This has been working out for the past 6 months where delivery persons could collect from our cage at their conveniece. Photo 4 shows that our Video Doorbell did not received or detected anyone ringing our bell to check if our office people are in. Photos 5 & 6 shows that our cage is located outside our door (under our CCTV), and nearest to the cargo bay lift.
Shopee's rule states that by 3pm, we need to settle all orders for the day. To which, you can see in Photo 2, Ben, is packing and placing the orders into our allocated cage with the sign reading "SPX". And of course, Photo 3 being the cage after this notification, where nothing was touched.
Potential consequences for us - Stripped of Preferred Seller, NDD, and dropped Posts Viewership where our Posts are now bumped to the bottom of pages; for 3 months.
This PSA goes out to 2 parties:
1. To Courier Drivers of SPX, Please consider your commitments to your job and to the people whom you are serving. If you are unable to make it on time, please at least inform us and we can make the necessary moves before the dateline of 8pm each day. You have our contact information for you to contact us. You risk tearing down our small business for every non-compliant pick up request.
2. Our Customers whom are affected - We are (if being blunt) held hostage by all of these operations as we are unable to choose our couriers, nor can we choose how they wish to operate. We can never apologise enough for this experience and hope you would understand that it was not our fault in this matter.
