Our recent success with # project, perhaps, is one of our best demonstrations of data being able to reveal cultural and linguistic nuances even to those who are not very familiar to the country, culture and the society. Maybe data is the first step towards developing an indigenous understanding of the vast non-english digital world. It might consciously decouple the discovery process from the crippling norms and conformities presently set by the anglicized digital world.

16 hours of analytics, open source tools, visualisation, data mining and demonstration of actionable data driven decisions. A very satisfying delivery of a hands on learning session with for group Hong Kong, focussed on KFC. We even did a little bit of AI and Natural Language Processing. Thanks to MasterCard. We observed data around what holds Asians back from simplest of the Fintech adoptions like contactless and mobile payments. We also got a behavioural peek into the perception of various brands trying to play in the space. Data laid bare the human dilemma of choosing between safety and convenience. Made recommendations around allaying some of the unfounded fears that could go a long way towards including people from all socio economics and maybe bring "Fintech" slightly closer to the earth.
