Wonderful re-opening of the Malay Heritage Centre. It took such a long time from the rebuilding of the old space, because there was much to do in order for the space to actually become Museum-quality (having also done work in the old space, our founder could immediately feel the difference of dryness on his skin and the effects of light on his sight). And the work from Dr. Hadi, we weren't expecting anything bland from the Mr. Geek himself. Loads of new technologies put in to enhance the whole experience for the visitors. And if you are lucky to book a slot with a curator, the experience is many-fold!
And (supaman poses) so honored to see so many of our fine handi work on display in the museum. Heh.
please. :)

Marking a remarkable (of course, not counting the decades before we incorporated Light Editions) TWENTY-year journey together with all our artists, museums and lovely individuals.
This Anniversary is a testament to the power of passion and commitment, and this is just the beginning of even more joy to come. Much Love.

Not Mere Spectators.
An off-site exhibition from Founders' Memorial in City Hall chambers within National Gallery.
The history of "multiculturalism in Singapore". I didn't know we had free cultural performances all around Singapore back then and the music in the first exhibit was specially "created" using the scores from back then. Snipplets of Jayaratnam's radio play is also there. Lots of hands on surprising experiences in the small space (that felt larger than it actually is).
Light Editions is proud to have contributed to some of the works showed in the exhibition. (Psst. The whole wall of old school text books. Some of you will recognise some of them. AND I have actually seen one of the super old ones and wished I still had it so I can donate the real thing to the exhibition.)
Go. It's a good learning experience.

3 permutations of the works.
More to come.. Have to superimpose the images as the phone captures are not sharp enough. One of the images are as Triptych (as seen with the "circular" images), and some of these images will be produced at twice this size upon request.

New works in the making.

New Merch. Except it's not for sale! Hahaha
Quality of t-shirt cotton and tote bag canvas are too high to make it viable as product. But while we are at it, must say it looks and feels so good.

Met an uncle seamster(?), Mervyn, to correct my jeans, which were slightly too long and wide. He had many interesting bags and wallets and nicknacks on sale. I immediately thought of a bag idea I had since a while back (inspired by a bag my goddaughter was carrying before).
When I went to collect my jeans order at his shop in Chinatown, I presented my canvas bag idea to him. He agreed, but qualify that the order will need more time as he is very busy (National Day costumes order) and was also getting ready to move. I gave him my design and didn't expect to hear from him for another month or so..Little did I expect, within 1.5 weeks he called me up to collect the bag. He was just as excited as me about this bag. This bag is special as its made from premium Japanese canvas (special order) and with some added design elements. It was the right large size so most people would fit this size. It was expensive but, as expected, gorgeously beautiful.
Now, only left to print my company name (designed) on this. The print shop I had originally wanted to print this was not very forthcoming and was also delaying all my other parts of the t-shirt printing jobs. Waited 2 months and finally decided to just go to my friend's shop to print. It wasn't too far from my studio anyways. They took just 3 days to finish all of my designs plus the bag, and they did it with proper colour management in place! Better than I was expecting.
ANYWOO..look at this beauty. I'm in ❤️ love.

Finally, the first "big" print on my huge format printer.
The details from the hires files are not lost, and the ability to show some unusual colours are more now. And the tonal quality is also much better (black and white, here I come!)
