Yesterday, we marked two significant milestones in our journey at Sea —

As we celebrate our 16th anniversary, we are proud to unveil the new global headquarters for our digital financial services business in Singapore, alongside its rebranding from SeaMoney to Monee.

Monee’s new headquarters will serve as a homegrown innovation hub set to drive product excellence and talent development while strengthening cross-market collaboration for our teams across Southeast Asia and Latin America. It will also house key Centers of Excellence in product management, AI, and anti-money laundering—areas critical to the future of finance.

We were privileged to have Singapore’s Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Trade and Industry, Dr Tan See Leng Leng, officially inaugurate the opening ceremony yesterday. We sincerely thank him for his support and for sharing valuable insights on Singapore’s pivotal role in shaping the future of digital finance.

The unveiling of the new name, Monee, marks an exciting chapter for a business that began as a simple prepaid card network to support our gaming users. And while it has since evolved into one of the largest digital financial services platforms in Southeast Asia, we are only seeing the start of its potential. As the digital economy continues to evolve, we remain committed to bettering the lives of consumers and small businesses through technology, and Monee will continue to build a future where financial inclusion is a reality for all.
