About the role
In this position, you will work in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative customer-focused environment to determine and translate customer needs into effective design solutions in our research and development department by :

• Researching on passive electronic components and design new
products to meet market needs.
• Supporting complete R&D project life cycle and participate in all
phases from concept to manufacturing through designing,
prototyping, validation and production of R&D products, taking
into account the functionality, feasibility, quality,
manufacturability, costs, and completion time.
• Giving concise and informative demo/presentations to other team
members or product managers about design concepts.
• Finalizing a design and its deliverables in order to facilitate a
smooth transition to the relevant stakeholders.

• Preparing product documentation like bill of material, material
specification and process documentation.
• Evaluating processes and design improvements.
• Coordinating with the Global R&D team.

What we're looking for
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology
(Electrical/Electronics) from a recognized University/Institution.
• 2-3 years of industry relevant passive electronic component
design experience.
• Understanding & work knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical.
• Experience with regulatory compliances (EMC) and industrial
standards would be advantageous.
• Familiar with schematics capture/layout design tools and
electronics measurement instruments (oscilloscope, data logger).
• Good understanding of product safety, environmental testing and
electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) will be advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of electronics fundamental and principles.
• Strong passion for product design.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in
English.
• Creative and self-motivated.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willing to travel frequently within South East Asia and beyond
SEA on a need to basis.

About the role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing innovative and efficient bowl feeders. The ideal candidate will required to have experience in designing automated systems, material handling solutions and machinery used in assembly lines or production environments. As a key member of the Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, testing and optimization to meet the needs of our business and industry standards.

What you'll be doing
• Develop innovative mechanical features and enhancements for customized
automation machinery.
• Drive creativity and initiative in the mechanical design of new products.
• Plan, coordinate and execute projects efficiently to meet business requirements.
• Contribute to all phases of product development, including feasibility studies,
quotations, design and pressentations.
• Participate in the complete product development cycle from concept design,
component selection and detailed part design to vendor tool management, parts
validation and mass production.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to provide effective tools, techniques,
and support.
• Ensure product designs comply with quality standards, cost targets and project
timelines.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and training support throughout and after
product deployment.

What we're looking for
• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or any related
field.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical design for contract
manufacturing and automation industry.
• Experience with automation systems and robotics.
• Familiarity with vibration control and bowl feeder tuning.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD for product design
is a must.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and mechanical design principles
for manufacturability.
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Occasional travel may be required for site visits and installation support within Asia.
