Customer came to us with an Asus T300Chi laptop. It had a terrible boot up/ start up time with overheating. The LCD display is also faulty due to a fall.

We did the following.

1) Replaced LCD screen.
2) Replaced damaged dual ribbon port.
3) Replace thermal compound.
4) Internal & external cleaning.

The laptop is good to go.

A customer brought in his very old laptop Asus K435 in hopes of having it fixed (repaired). So it can act as a spare back up.

Diagnostic shows that the laptop is unable to boot up, CMOS battery is rusty & depleted, 4GB RAM stick (not fast enough), and the worse is the harden thermal compound.

We did the following,

1) Replace to 1TB HDD.
2) Replace CMOS battery.
3) Clean and reapply thermal compound.
4) Install another 4GB RAM stick (total 8GB).
5) Clean some of the rusts.
6) Clean the heat fan.
7) Install Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2016.

A customer had originally wanted to replace her NVME SSD. After she send it in, we soon discovered a series of issues. The laptop is unable to to turn on, likely due to water damages.

We heated the board at power socket area for several minutes, until finally the laptop is able to turn on. However, the SSD is badly damaged though. We replaced the SSD and install Windows Home 10, and later discovered the Wifi and Bluetooth is also down. So we heated the Wifi/ Bluetooth card until it's up and running again.

After that the laptop looks fine for use, as if nothing ever happened.
