💡Würth Elektronik is expanding its optoelectronics portfolio with the WL-OCHS high-speed optocoupler. This component is designed for high-speed digital signal transmission between galvanically isolated circuit sections. The optocoupler supports data rates from 1 MBd to 10 MBd and provides an isolation voltage of up to 5000 VRMS and high EMC immunity.

We had an incredible month of August sharing 2days of our expertise with the next generation of engineers!

Our team conducted a hands-on seminar on EMC Debugging Solutions and Troubleshooting Techniques at the EMC Lab, SGS (Thailand) — diving deep into practical strategies for identifying and resolving electromagnetic compatibility issues.

📅 August 6, 2026
We delivered a seminar on DC-to-DC Converter Design, followed by a hands-on workshop where students learned to use industry-standard software for schematic and PCB design.

Both sessions were part of the EIE311/ENE311 – Fundamentals of Electronic Product Design course, supporting students as they build real-world engineering skills. 🎓⚡

👍🏻The DC-DC Converter Designer is the most frequently used calculation tool in REDEXPERT. Würth Elektronik has now completely revised and expanded its online service.

The heart of the new tool is its proprietary, highly accurate method for calculating inductor losses, based on actual component characterization. It also takes DC-bias effects in inductors and capacitors into account.

A new worst-case option for losses and temperature rise provides a valuable tool for robust design that is prepared to deal with all real-world operating conditions.🖥️

🚀 Advancing Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineering in Malaysia! ⚡

Last week, our Malaysia team had the privilege of hosting an insightful EMC Seminar at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR)!

It was an incredible session filled with engaging discussions, technical knowledge-sharing, and interactive demonstrations with engineering students, faculty members, and industry professionals.

💡Würth Elektronik is expanding its WE-MCRI product series with the new 1090HL variant (HL = High Leakage), a coupled inductor specifically designed to improve the performance of SEPIC, ZETA and Ćuk converters. This unique double choke takes an unconventional approach by deliberately harnessing leakage inductance, which is normally treated as a parasitic element in conventional designs. The coupled inductor enables more effective filtering for improved EMC performance with a far more compact design.

Würth Elektronik expands its cable interference suppression program. Conventional MnZn and NiZn ferrite cores for cable assembly are now complemented by nanocrystalline cable cores (https://we-online.link/1ek).

The WE-NCC series provides broadband suppression of conducted electromagnetic interference. It features a compact design, high temperature stability and exceptionally high permeability.

The REDEXPERT online tool helps users select suitable ferrites based on parameters such as the required impedance. All interference suppression solutions are available from stock without a minimum order quantity, and free samples are provided on request.
