We are appalled and horrified by Russia’s acts of war and aggression in Ukraine. Like everyone else over the past few weeks, we at Goodbye Kansas Group have been watching the situation closely, with our thoughts and prayers with friends and family caught in this devastating humanitarian catastrophe.
As a global company based in Stockholm, we are only hours away from this crisis, and have colleagues who are personally affected by the conflict. To be able to wake up in the morning without the fear of immediate war is a luxury in these times. Values of an inclusive company culture, of sharing and caring – values of democracy, equality, human rights, and freedom of speech – mean nothing if you cannot put words into action. When the creeds that rest in our DNA are violated, we cannot simply stand by and watch.
We enormously appreciate and respect everyone who has put efforts into supporting the people of Ukraine, whether they are our own colleagues, our family and friends, or others around us. As a company, we should be emblematic of the culture that our people produce, and we should strive to drive those same values forward in our actions.
This is why we have decided to support some of the most vulnerable Ukrainians: those that one day, will be rebuilding their country and their lives. At Goodbye Kansas Group (including its subsidiaries Goodbye Kansas Studios, Infinite Entertainment, Vobling, Sayduck and Plotagon) we are donating a sum of money to and their work with child refugees from Ukraine. In addition, we will be donating the entire profits from our upcoming sales of used hardware and tech to UNICEF’s work in Ukraine.
As we have seen throughout the global community over the past weeks – no one can do everything, but everybody can do something.
We each have our own part to play, no matter how big or small, and we hope the kindness and generosity that we have seen flourish throughout this disaster will only grow stronger.
