Using AI with students: how did Esther do it?

Esther’s students didn’t start small, they started building from the get go💥

One of her groups created an app to divide students into balanced soccer teams. Another wanted to build a recipe tool. And just like that, AI stopped being something abstract and became something they could actually use to bring their own ideas to life.

Students weren’t just “using AI.” They were thinking critically, making decisions, testing ideas, and learning how to explain what they wanted clearly enough for AI to help them build it.

When students get the chance to create with AI, they don’t just consume technology. They build with it 🩵

We’ve been looking through student submissions for the Lovable x imagi Giveaway, and we’re loving what schools came up with 🙌🏼

Students are building platformer games, mythology-inspired adventures, science activities, STEM lesson hubs, team-sorting tools, and anything else they can think of 🤔💡

What we love most is seeing their ideas turn into something they can actually play, test, share, and keep improving.

Lovable x imagi gives students a classroom-safe space to create with AI and see what they’re capable of building.

Like what you see? Any K-12 teacher can bring classroom-safe AI to their school through the link in bio. 🔗

Free student access to Lovable × imagi ends Sunday May 31st ⏰

If you’re a teacher who’s been curious about bringing AI into your classroom this is your last window to try it at no cost.

Until June 1, your students can use Lovable to build real projects with the help of AI.

If you’re looking for a quick and safe AI literacy lesson, this is it!

After May, schools need to upgrade to add more students or have their students create more projects.

Code/Art Fest 2026 was one for the books 🤩

What happens when students are given a topic they are passionate about, a real audience, and classroom-safe AI tool?

On April 11th in Miami, Florida, imagi joined the Code/Art Fest to explore creative Python and vibe coding with educators and students.

By the end of the hackathon, students had created apps and games around topics that mattered for them, from responsible AI use to financial literacy and sports.

Your students are one prompt away from building real AI apps.

And you don’t need to know how to code to make it happen.

Stop scrolling for a second — because this is literally what your classroom could look like tomorrow. 👇

Vibe coding is the skill changing everything for grades 6–12 right now. Instead of memorizing code syntax, students just describe what they want to build– and AI writes the code. Students stay in creator mode the whole time: problem-solving, designing, shipping. The easiest way to build AI Literacy skills at your school without sacrificing safety.

Perfect as a stand alone hour-long activity or easily integrated into a cross-curricular lesson.

We have the lesson fully built out for you, so all you need to do is take 10 mins to:
1️⃣ Register for free on imagi Edu using your school email (~3 mins)
2️⃣ Easily set up student accounts by clicking create classroom and typing the list of student first names (~3 mins)
3️⃣ Unlock classroom-safe Lovable for your class (1 click👉🏼)
4️⃣ Use our ready-made slides and speaker notes to teach 👩‍🏫

No computer science or AI background required.

Hurry - free Student Lovable Access ends May 31st!

Thank us later 💖

We’re watching 6th graders build apps. 8th graders automate workflows. 11th graders create tools their schools actually use.

imagi Edu gives you everything: structured lessons, student projects, and AI tools… all built for the middle and high school classroom.
