nxtedition is a dynamic media company with a game changing vision of how to produce, manage and distribute video for the broadcast television, publishing and corporate industry. Our goal is to eradicate the technically advanced, complex and expensive elements of traditional television & video production through the application of innovative new technology. A nxtedition installation encompasses the entire video workflow, from concept and delivery through different digital platforms at the press of a single button. The scale of the installation can range from a simple HD we**am kit right up to a fully automated in house broadcast studio. Starting with a story a user can write the script and pull in all the media assets required to support that story inside the system. This is gathered together in a rundown as story events which organises everything into the correct order for recording. From there it is simply a case of stepping through each story event during recording or live broadcast and the broadcast automation will load the correct prompter script for the presenter and playout all the automated graphics, video drop ins, stills and external sources to create a professional broadcast output.

We’re proud to be finalists in two categories at the RTS Technology Awards 2026. 🏆 Our work with Collective Newsroom has been shortlisted for Creative Innovation Project of the Year, while nxtedition is also a finalist for Product/Technology of the Year for our Agentic Production Automation.

It means a lot to see both the work we’re doing with broadcasters and the technology behind it recognised by the RTS Technology Awards.

How do you build a new news operation in Kyiv during wartime? Our Adam Leah joined Eric Schmidt and Quentin Ankri from NEWSMAX, Laurent Mairet from Broadcast Solutions Group and Ludmila Nemyria from Newsmax Ukraine at the IBC Showcase Theatre to tell the story behind Newsmax Ukraine.

The discussion went right back to the original editorial and business blueprint, through the design and deployment of the operation in Kyiv, and into the practical challenges of getting a new TV, digital and social news service up and running during wartime.
