ETAS’ INCA software, an industry‑standard tool for ECU measurement, calibration, and diagnostics, now supports most Kvaser CAN and CAN FD interfaces in Service Pack V7.6.1.

Kvaser users can enable this functionality by selecting AddOn_Kvaser‑Hardware from the available licence options in the new Service Pack; simply select and install.

⚙️ CAN Signal Analysis with Spreadsheets and Kvaser’s CanKing SAE J1939 Example ⚙️

A few of our customers have indicated a need to analyze a limited number of CAN signals within an SAE J1939 data stream. Although Kvaser has many partner companies that offer plenty of powerful choices for CAN analysis software, it is sometimes desirable to graph a signal with the tools we have. For a student with a one-time need, or an engineer from a small company who just wants to understand a signal on a CAN bus, this method would have value.

Full-duplex conversion with transparent back-to-back PHY architecture provides link-level insight for monitoring and debugging. PHY parameters can be read to observe link status and speed negotiation. With intuitive Kvaser CL software tools, you can adjust PHY settings and configurations via the USB-C port for device configuration and firmware updates.

Kvaser Arcus enables partial network simulation and early boot monitoring, allowing testing even when part of networks are unavailable.

It supports OPEN Alliance TC10 wake and sleep signaling, enabling testing of Automotive Ethernet power-state behavior in development environments.

Designed for space‑constrained and embedded environments, the new M.2 PCIe xCAN main board comes in a 22 × 80 mm format with a break‑away section that lets you adapt it to either 80 mm or 60 mm M.2 slots. 💡

Each Flex DB9 cable connects the board to a single CAN channel, allowing developers to configure one, two, three, or four channels depending on the application. The result is a highly modular, space‑efficient platform that adapts to a wide range of system layouts.
