As we swap our keyboards for flip flops and our code for sunscreen, we want to raise a virtual QL toast to you. To our hardworking team, our incredible clients, and everyone who's part of our journey – here's wishing you a sun-soaked, joy-filled summer. ☀️

Branding Mattr

The upstart tech consulting company Mattr Collective came to us in need of a differentiating branding concept and graphic identity. And since we at Qrtech pride ourselves by being a company with the ability to take clients from basic science research and hardware up to UX, design and high concepts we took on the task.

With a PhD in applied quantum physics, curiosity of the yet unknown is what drives Andreas. “Any day where I learn something new is a good day”, he says. Right now, he’s applying his inquisitive mind to the future of cars. “I work with safety-critical electronic systems for the automotive industry. Both systems designed with a human driver in mind, as well as autonomous systems that will not require a human driver.”

So, last Friday we celebrated summer, friendship and a very successful first half of 2022. We gathered the crew, new and not so new, at Hey, it’s Enrico Palazzo, in Ringön here in Gothenburg – to welcome the highly anticipated Swedish summer in style. Hilarity, laughter, great food and better than average Robbie Williams covers ensued.

With the goal of investigating the latest in vibration-based energy harvesting, our two thesis students Raksh*tha Byadarahalli Madhusudhan and Erik Almbratt presented their findings for us at Qrtech. Harvesting energy from vibrations, either from machines, or other oscillating materials, and then convert it to electricity will be a great power supply in the future to run various IoT application that require minimal power and long battery lives. Great people, products and tech at Advanced Engineering at Kistamässan! We're meeting new, old and potential clients and partners, while marveling at the output of the Swedish Tech Industry. And whereas Koenigsegg in the neighbouring booth showcased their latest super car, people were just as interested to learn more about our job with the RGNT electrical motorcycle. Well, almost.
