Everyone talks about the challenges facing healthcare today and how digitalization and AI could be the answer to many of those challenges. But what we at Worldish have realized is that whatever technology or products we bring into healthcare to improve efficiency, improve the lives of healthcare staff and patients, and reduce stress, they need to be validated in real-life healthcare environments. 🏥

Products that are tested and validated in laboratory environments do not necessarily work in real healthcare settings, which are often under immense pressure and constrained by many different factors. That is why, with Helen Assistant, we have continuously collected and validated feedback directly from healthcare staff throughout the development process. The innovation itself was developed together with healthcare, including Region Östergötland, Linköping University Hospital, Sahlgrenska University Hospital, and Västra Götalandsregionen in Gothenburg. 🤝

Through this close collaboration, we have always sought to understand the challenges connected to existing solutions for language barriers. Healthcare staff told us that there is a widespread lack of quality among interpreters used in healthcare, and that there is often no feedback mechanism to understand whether information has actually been communicated correctly by human interpreters. Human interpreters with medical competence are inevitable and will continue to play an important role, but high-quality interpretation is mandatory, and in many cases, the need is not being adequately met by existing suppliers. 🩺

At the same time, they told us that general AI tools were unreliable and could create huge risks to patient safety. What they wanted was a solution where qualified human interpreters with medical competence could work hand-in-hand with a medically trained and medically validated AI interpretation solution. That is the answer we brought to them with the Helen Assistant®, and they have welcomed it with open arms. 🤖🤝🧑‍⚕️

This has been our journey, and we believe it is an important lesson for every healthcare innovation. We hope that healthcare innovators everywhere will talk to their end users—healthcare staff, nurses, doctors, and support staff—very early in the development process. By doing so, you can develop products according to their real needs and create solutions that truly work in environments where they are needed most. 🌍💙

🏥 We had a wonderful onboarding session last week with a new hospital joining our customer family. These are clicks where our team member is explaining to the staff group how Helen can be used in their day-to-day work life, where they meet and serve patients who have language barriers.

The staff groups were amazingly impressed by Helen's capabilities, especially given that they have been subject to conditions where not enough qualified medical interpreters have been available to support them in their consultations, and have been using uncertified apps before.

The hospital management has taken a bold step to implement Helen Assistant, a proven, medically trained, medical-grade product, and facilitate increased patient safety and equal care for patient communities. 🩺🤝

Reducing inequalities in healthcare and facilitating better communication between healthcare staff and patients is our mission. And in that sense, this day was a true success and accomplishment of our dream. ❤️

🌍 Language barriers in healthcare is a global problem, and we are well set to eradicate this problem once and for all with our product, Helen Assistant.

Even with medical interpreters, Helen can be used, and qualified medical interpreters can seek support from Helen to translate medical jargon and complicated medical terms accurately and in simpler terms. Helen's abilities are truly amazing. ✨

It not only empowers doctors, nurses, and patients, but also medical interpreters to do their job even better.

Helen Assistant is not a replacement for human interpreters, but it is an empowerment tool for interpreters to do their job better with higher medical accuracy. 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️🤝

🌍 We have had a wonderful onboarding session at CHU Saint-Pierre / UMC Sint-Pieter, covering 42 different clinical departments and specialties.

The energy and ambience among the staff groups were amazing and extremely positive. Everyone was highly enthusiastic about adopting Helen Assistant, a proven, cutting-edge AI medical interpretation technology, to help solve language barriers in their day-to-day work.

🙏 A heartfelt thank you to the CHU Saint-Pierre management, and especially Philippe Vandenbergh, for your amazing support throughout the one-year pilot process we have had.

The collection of evidence related to improvements in quality of care and clinical safety was important to you and the management. This is a true role model for implementing a healthcare innovation that can improve the lives of both healthcare staff and patients.

A big thank you as well to Caroline De Voecht, Evelyn Vass, Léo Foucher, and the rest of the CHU Saint-Pierre management for the trust you have placed in us. 🤝

We look forward to continuing this amazing journey together and facilitating more and more options for you to deliver equal care in the context of language barriers in Brussels, the heart of Europe. 🇪🇺

A nurse asks a question. The interpreter translates it. But did the patient hear what was actually meant? The patient and interpreter are right now having a back-and-forth discussion. It also sounds like an argument between them. The nurse wonders if what was interpreted is exactly what he or she meant🤔

Language barriers are one of the BIGGEST challenges in global healthcare 🌍

And even when interpreters are available, there's a hidden problem:

❌ Medical jargon gets lost in translation
❌ No way to review if the message was delivered correctly
❌ Staff simply have to trust that it was

That's the problem we set out to solve at Worldish 💙

With Helen AI Assistant, healthcare staff can now communicate with patients in their own language — using quality-assured medical content.

✅ Staff see exactly what's being communicated
✅ No guesswork, no blind trust
✅ Safer care, better quality
✅ Patients who actually understand their treatment

We'd love your input as we keep improving Helen! 🙌

🌍 Worldish had a wonderful day at Viva Technology yesterday. The day was filled with meetings with amazing tech companies from all around the world.

🤝 We were able to discuss potential collaborations involving our advanced AI voice-to-voice translation technology and how it could be integrated into a variety of applications that require unique expertise in serving multilingual audiences and helping organizations better meet the needs of their users.

🏥 Our core strength lies in having the most accurate voice-to-voice translation technology in the healthcare space. Through these discussions, potential partners were able to identify how this expertise and niche capability could fit into their own products and solutions. Hopefully, some exciting future partnerships and launches will emerge from the conversations that started here at VivaTech.

🇸🇪 A big thank you to Östergötland, Business Sweden, and Linköping Science Park for the invitation and for allowing us to be part of the Sweden delegation. It has been a truly remarkable experience.

✨ Towards the end of the day, as you can see in the photos, we enjoyed a fantastic evening mingle at the Swedish Ambassador's Office in Paris together with TECHARENA.

🙌 It was also fantastic to meet Omid Ekhlasi again after some time and have a brief update on everything. It is always inspiring to meet founders like Omid.

🚀 We look forward to many more exciting days ahead and will keep you updated.

🤝 We also had a great catch-up with the team from Business Sweden, who have been instrumental in supporting us from the very beginning. We hope to achieve even more together in the near future. Thanks for the lovely chat, Emma Hemmingson, Caroline Vicini, Ambassade de Suède en France.

🙏 And finally, thank you, Milian Nelzén, for all the networking support you provided throughout the day. It was truly invaluable.

Worldish had a fantastic board meeting last week in Stockholm together with Burmeister and Alireza Etemad.

We discussed the broader vision of Worldish in improving patient safety, quality of care, and reducing healthcare inequalities.

Helen Assistant, our product, has positioned itself as one of the most advanced tools in its class for solving language barriers in healthcare. But we are now preparing to take major steps forward — not only in overcoming language barriers, but also in making healthcare safer and more accessible for people around the world.

Global healthcare continues to face many challenges, whether it is a lack of competence, limited infrastructure, unequal access to care, or rising healthcare costs. With the experience and proven track record we have built through Helen Assistant, Worldish is committed to taking meaningful steps toward addressing these global challenges by developing sustainable solutions and contributing to a more equal world.

Our board has been extremely supportive and creative in discussing strategies for the next phase of our global expansion.

Stay tuned for more updates!
