Hello!

As I talked about in my story a few days ago, I'm currently getting through a "low art activity" season due to pregnancy. I simply do not manage to go through what I'd like to create and so I've decided to just take a winter break, and hopefully once the baby is here I'll manage to work on my things again 🥰

I have moved to a different region and I'm still adapting, but so far I really enjoy it here and I'm 100% sure it's gonna be fantastic for my artistic future. I might post here still during the break if I manage to finish my current project (yes, I'm working on something 😆) but I do not put myself under pressure these days hahaha.

Hello!

And that's it for this year's October challenge. It's the first year EVER I manage to do it all so I'm quite happy, even if it's a little imperfect ✨
I had picked 's challenge, which was to draw a piece a day and then when assembled, we'd see the full picture. Well, here it is!!
I chose to use dotwork to do it, and I regretted it quite early on when I saw those full black pieces 😆 But hey, it went fine at the end. If I had seen the full picture from the start, I would have NEVER thought I'd be capable of drawing this! So that was a fantastic experience, very rewarding.

Now back to regular art! 🥰

And happy Halloween/Samhain 🎃

Another week done 🥵 I'm getting progressively lazier with the details but hopefully it will still look good at the end 😆 Less than a week to go for !!! And then the final image shall reveal itself...

We're now past halfway 😍 I think it's the first time I actually manage to follow an inktober challenge. Probably because I'm so hyped by seeing the big image reveal at the end hahaha!

Inktober challenge, week 1.

I've picked 's challenge, ! It's a little messy, I'm not good at realism but hopefully it will come together nicely at the end 😆 It's like a puzzle! 31 pieces to draw, she is sending each one once a day per email, randomly. So far it looks like it's gonna be a cosy living room? We'll see!

I'll only post about it once a week but I'm posting some bits of it in my story regularly if you want to follow :)

Hello!

I moved to the Dalarna region recently and I thought I'll become accointed with the local folklore. Therefore, here is NIPGUBBEN, an old little troll looking after the nature around Nipfjället. He makes sure people visiting are respectful (he becomes upset if they aren't) ✨ There is a small sculpture of him on the spot and that's the one I used as a base for inspiration! I however changed it quite a lot 🫣
The motifs on his outfit and the flowers in the background are traditional motifs from Sweden, that I have spotted during a visit at the !
It took me some time as I am NOT GOOD at drawing humanoids sadly and that's something I wanna improve. I have filmed some steps of the drawing but not all (I forgot to do it at the start), maybe I'll make a video out of them :)

Hello!

Been very busy lately and I was forced to wait for my first printing test so I could finally show it to you BUT: I made a poster!!!!

That was a project I've had in mind for a loooong time 😆 But finally it's done. The legend was the hardest part for me as I didn't want it to be too chunky, I avoided putting too much details... So I've put in a wider time period instead.

To be honest, I don't know if there are so many people out there that are as fascinated with old stuff as I am but IF YOU ARE, you can order this one from my Etsy page!!!!!
All keys are hand drawn based on actual old keys and everything on the poster has been made by yours truly. I thought of it as a little curiosity cabinet 😌

I hope you like it! I just need to get a frame so I can hang it at home myself and share better pictures hahaha

Hello, long time no see 🫣
I had a bit of a creative "block" for a while, but now we're back at it (hopefully) 🔥

This design is inspired by Pictish stones and by the legend of Excalibur, here depicted as a Celtic sword 🗡️

I'm trying to make linocut bookmarks but as you can see, I believe I'm lacking the tools/the strength/the skills to make the dark parts fully dark 😆 I'll investigate and maybe invest in something. I still like the result even if it's not exactly perfect, I thought it was worth showing off anyway! However I'm not gonna start selling bookmarks just yet 😆😅

I really really like linocut as a medium tho, it's very fun and calming to do, and I love the possibilities it offers!! I'll definitely make more bookmark designs 😍

Joining the trend with my very own Starter Pack no AI !!!

Yes it doesn't look all clean and perfect as AI does it, but isn't it the charm of (wo)manmade things after all? ✨
I think the value of art is the artist. What's the point of art if it's made by a robot? It might be pretty to look at, but it's soulless. No satisfaction at all. Plus, it's one more pollution factor (as if our planet needed this right now).
If you cannot afford to commission an artist, draw it yourself. It doesn't matter if it's ugly. Imagination can do a lot of work 💜

(Also it's super fun to draw and it had been YEARS since I had drawn a self portrait 😆 Still not very good at drawing humans 😔).
