We are looking for people who enjoy software development and preferably also has some boating experience. You’ll probably have to learn a few new programming languages. Currently there is some Kotlin, C++, Java, Python and Java-script (Typescript) in environments such as Android, Qt, Node and React Native.
We are currently four people and needs more people. The ambition is to keep the Gothenburg office within software and try to make the more innovation driven projects within boat software. A little bit more complex but also easier to use is the ambition.
In the past we have been doing full systems for navigation and controlling the boat (have a look at yachtdefined.com) but we are now moving to doing the systems we call onboard backend and app development.
We share offices with The Techno Creatives in Vasa in Gothenburg and have our own small maker space, gym/climbing wall, coffee machine and a beer fridge. The essential needs.
As a developer at Navico you must be able to create your own ideas, take decisions and manage your own time. You need to be here in the office working together with us. It is probable that you’ll also have to travel as Navico has development all around the world.
