🔍 RangeVision Spectrum 3D scanner: Thermal compensation

There are a lot of offers on the 3D scanner market and it is often difficult to judge which scanning system to purchase. One of the important topics is temperature compensation. That is a very big problem for many projector-based scanning systems. Watch the video from 3D Scan Academy and you will find out how the problem is solved by RangeVision Spectrum.

Spectrum 3D scanner allows getting scans with stable accuracy which is provided by the following factor:

✅ Composite calibration plates of the scanner are measured up to 1 micron using a special method indicating a temperature of measurement. If at one moment the temperature differs from the environment temperature, ScanCenter applies a correction considering the coefficient of thermal expansion.

Design modification of Maserati Levante and its transformation into a hearse.
Our partner INKAY Technology srl took part in a project to modify Maserati Levante for funeral processions. INKAY was involved in the refinement of the car body geometry by Vecotras, a company specializing in equipping funeral vehicles. The modification process required 3D scanning of the production car body with RangeVision PRO 3D scanner, 3D modeling and redesign, moulds manufacturing and their mounting onto the car body. The University of Veterinary Medicine saves a month and hundreds of euros for getting a brain-cutting template using RangeVision Spectrum 3D scanner.

Our partner 3Dee got an order from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna to create a template for cutting pig brains. A pig brain was 3d scanned with RangeVision Spectrum 3D scanner. The obtained 3D model was used for further processing and preparing of an object for 3D printing. After 3D printing a brain-cutting template was post-processed to get a higher level of firmness. As a result, specialists got a template saving up to 6 weeks of the delivery time and up to 2000 euros. RangeVision Spectrum 3D scanner was used in the project of fixing the defects of the Shelby Cobra body geometry. 😉

The Mashinators, a company engaged in tuning, faced the challenge of correcting the Shelby Cobra replica body geometry in only one month. During the primary inspection of the car, the Mashinators noticed some defects of the body. However, it is often not likely to see all the gaps in the body geometry, because the car has many symmetrical points. To see the full picture of the asymmetry of the body, the Mashinators used Rangevision Spectrum 3D scanner. The obtained 3D model of the car was used to inspect the symmetry of the left and right parts of the car. As a result, a number of body flaws were identified...
