AEM has made and continues to make constant investments in the development of manufacturing technology and production capacities. Thus, between 1999 and 2012 an investment program of over 43.5 million EUR was implemented. Only during 2011-2012 investments of 9.4 million EUR have been made - 2.89 million EUR being European funds. The investments of the last two years focused on purchasing equipment
and automatic lines for the assembling of intelligent electronic products and for the assembling of gas meters; plastic injection machines; as well as an electronic waste water treatment system, that all incorporate the latest technologies in their respective fields. All the AEM products are certified by both competent authorities from Romania as well as by prestigious international institutions, with worldwide reputation: NMI Netherlands, PTB Germany, DVGW Germany, SP Sweden. AEM develops its activity following an integrated management system that incorporates: quality, environment, health and occupational security. The quality management system has been certified since 1999 by KEMA -The Netherlands and since 2010 by DEKRA - ISO9001:2008. The four decades tradition on the energy measuring devices market – and not only –, the important number of invention certificates and the many innovations, have placed AEM on the top of Romanian competitiveness in this field, and at the same time have made its products well known in over 30 countries all over the world. Through the factory gates have entered, during the four decades of its existence, thousands and thousands of people and, at the same time, have been delivered millions of metering devices which fulfils the life of a planet. At present, AEM has 1380 employees who all contribute to the continuous development of the company. Due to the constant effort and a vision oriented towards the future, AEM has reached all the corners of the world and takes its brand further every day.
