🐍 20 students. 6 weeks. Here is a throughback to our Python Summer Practice. We asked a few participants what they expected and what they found.

The expectation: a Python course. Consolidate the basics, learn the language, see what a professional environment looks like.

The reality: web development, databases, APIs, web scraping, industry standards, deployment, and how a real team works day to day.

The toughest part? Backend and new libraries, concepts most of them had never met at university. Well-structured courses, hands-on exercises, and mentors who answered every question turned the challenge into progress.

Vibe coding feels brilliant at 2 AM. Three months later, nobody can explain the codebase. 💡

Our software architect Alin Costea showed how to fix that with Spec-Driven Development: give AI a contract, not a conversation. Instead of re-explaining your project in every chat, you write version-controlled specs that humans and AI agents treat as the single source of truth.

It is Cyber Security Month and Secure9 week at Levi9.

We had our 5-day strike of sessions, two of them broadcast straight from our Iasi office.

This year, our security approach was "It Looks Until It's Not". A big thank you to our speakers for sharing their experience when it happened to see hidden risks, especially with AI:

🤖 Agentic AI in the SDLC: New Attack Surface, Same Old Mistakes, with Codrin Baleanu. He walked us through the common security mistakes teams make when adopting AI.

⚡ Blink, and you're scanned, with Iustin Achitenei and Valentin Gavriliu, together with our customer, for a joint session. They showed how bots hunt for exposed endpoints, launch credential stuffing and injection attacks, and how a WAF stops them at the edge.

This week reminded us why critical thinking and shared responsibility are key security skills on a daily basis. 💪

Yesterday we had our global All Hands meeting, streamed directly from our Levi9 Iași office.

All 4 countries aligned: the Netherlands, Romania, Serbia, and Ukraine. 🇳🇱🇷🇴🇷🇸🇺🇦

Recognizing the efforts, sharing the success, aiming for new goals, even with a glimpse into 2027. We thank the board for keeping clarity on our vision and transparency on our ex*****on.

As our board said: sticking to the Levi9 way, and it shows, in numbers and people! 💙💪

New academic year, new energy!
We're happy to be back at the Faculty of Computer Science in Iași (Facultatea de Informatica Iasi), welcoming students at the start of the university year.

It is always a pleasure to hear students' expectations, discuss their future, and get inspired by their enthusiasm. Every question, every idea, and every plan for the years ahead reminds us why we love being part of this community.

To all students, whether you are just starting your first year or heading into your final one: we wish you curiosity, great projects, and plenty of moments that make you proud.

Cyber-attack. 100 hospitals offline. One afternoon.

Secure9 is coming... so yesterday we hosted our Secure9 Lunch & Learn with DNSC (National Cyber Security Directorate) experts, digging into what really happens behind a large-scale ransomware attack.

The story hit different once you realize: Supply Chain Security and Ransomware are one weak link away.

Our levi niners showed up with sharp questions; Directoratul Național de Securitate Cibernetică - DNSC brought the answers, and we thank them for taking the time and opening the curtain on how national cybersecurity is handled.

Last week we brought The Decision Game to the office, and it was intense!

For 4 hours, our colleagues turned into strategists: fast decisions, limited resources, the clock ticking.

A big thank you to Andrei Postolache, the creator of the game, for guiding teams through round after round of challenges, choices to collaborate (or not 😏), and real lessons in strategic thinking under uncertainty.

The result? A ton of fun, sharp takeaways on negotiation and more confidence in decision-making.

BeSTRONG Challenge – Romania showed up! 💪

5 weeks and a global goal of 24,285 km. Our team of 35 levi niners scored and contributed with 5950km:

🚶 Walking: 3,018 km
🏃 Running: 1,579 km
🚴 Cycling: 1,353 km

Huge thanks to all of them who got out there walking, running, or cycling week after week. It felt like true Levi9 spirit in motion.

And the best part: we hit the global goal, which means we've unlocked the final charity milestone: a generous donation for local charities across our participating countries.

24,285 km later, we made it.
