🤝 RomSoft at the US–Romania Regional Economic Forum , Iași, 22–23 October

This week Iași hosts the US–Romania Regional Economic Forum – three days dedicated to how our region can grow through technology, investment and cooperation with the United States, Moldova, Ukraine and the rest of Eastern Europe.

Our colleague Carmen Stavarache will be there to learn what projects are taking shape in energy, infrastructure, healthcare and technology, what companies and institutions need to make them happen, and where software built with care for safety and long-term reliability can make a real difference.

These are questions that matter to us. For 25 years, RomSoft has worked as a development partner in medical and healthcare software, complex enterprise products and embedded systems. The most useful work often starts with understanding the context.

Carmen will be there on Thursday and Friday. If you’re there too, she’d be glad to connect.

RomSoft is heading to AI4-MED 2026! 🩺💻

Find us at Congress Hall Iași on 22–23 October, during the 2nd edition of the National Conference “Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Medicine – The Future of Precision Medicine”.

We’ll share what we’ve learned from working with AI agents in day-to-day development, from research-driven SaaS to IEC 62304 medical software. We’re just as curious to hear from you: how are you using AI in medical applications, what challenges have you faced, and what solutions worked?

We hope these two days bring new conversations, shared ideas and new collaborations between the medical and software communities.

Strict AI rules and real gains can go together.

In Cristina Anton’s team, people decide where a change goes and what logic it touches. Only then does the AI assistant get a small, well-defined task, and every suggestion is checked by hand.

One result: a nightly test run of around eight hours now finishes two to three hours sooner.

💡 This lesson was learned in a real project. The AI agent sped things up, and then the team found the code had drifted away from the architecture plan.

🧱Now the foundation is always built with people in the loop, and AI gets a structure to follow instead of a blank page.

Our colleague George Irofte has spent the past year and a half working alongside all types of AI tools - from chat assistants to agents embedded in every project layer.

His most agentic project started from scratch, and the first weeks turned out to be the hardest: the agent had no existing code to learn from, so the early architecture needed a lot of hands-on work.

Once the foundation was there, everything sped up.

George wrote about how his role as a developer has changed, including the parts that aren’t a clean win.
