As AI becomes part of more and more of what we do, understanding its security risks matters to all of us. 🤖
Alexandru Amarghioalei explored the OWASP AI and LLM Top 10, helping Centricians understand AI-related security risks and their impact on our everyday work.
Colleagues also got hands-on during a lockpicking workshop led by Victor Pasman learning how pin-tumbler locks work and why they can be picked.🔑 Using dedicated practice sets, they explored lock mechanics from an ethical perspective, with one key lesson: security starts with understanding how things can go wrong and how to protect against them.
As technology evolves, so do the challenges we need to understand so thank you to everyone who joined Centric Security Week online or in person, and to all our colleagues who shared their knowledge and made it such a valuable learning experience!

What can a hacker’s perspective teach us about responsible AI use? And why does it matter to think about security earlier in software development? 🔐
These were some of the topics explored during Centric Security, Privacy & BCM Week.
Cosmin Stefanica and Iulian Mitrea brought different perspectives to the conversation, exploring responsible AI adoption and security testing in the shift-left era.
The week also provided a great context for Sebastian Agachie and Iulian to lead governance and alignment sessions, with the entire security team, focusing on better integrating security testing across Centric.
Because building secure technology isn’t just about finding risks - it’s about anticipating them, asking the right questions, and making security part of the process from the start.🛡️

October is European Cybersecurity Month, and at Centric, our annual Security, Privacy & BCM Week is an opportunity to learn, share knowledge, and explore how we can make our digital environment safer. 🔐
Today, our colleagues Tudor Popovici and Andrei Amarghioalei led a session on the OWASP Top 10, exploring key web application security risks and practical recommendations.
Whether joining online or in person, colleagues had the opportunity to learn more about the vulnerabilities that matter and how we can help prevent them through better development practices. 💻

Some places become special because of the memories we make there. Others, because of the people who care enough to look after them.🌿
This October, another great activity brought colleagues together for „Urme bune: revitalizarea traseului Poiana cu Cetate – Poiana cu Schit”, a day dedicated to giving a little something back to a place we can all enjoy.
With sleeves rolled up and plenty of teamwork, our colleagues, with the help of our friends at Asociatia Outventure, refreshed wooden information panels and installed benches along the trail.
And after all that hands-on work, we wrapped up the day with a delicious bowl of goulash and an amazing dessert, well deserved after a day outdoors!💚
Because creating a positive impact can start with something simple: working together, caring for our surroundings, and making a difference as a team.

Another round of brought four quick dives into topics that made us stop, think, and ask a few more questions. 💡

From quality through brevity, to whether vibe coding is really that bad, how autonomous legacy modernization could look, and how AI adoption should start with reasoning, purpose, and responsibility, there was plenty to unpack in just a few minutes.
Because as technology becomes more capable, keeping our critical thinking, curiosity, and focus on meaningful work matters just as much.

Kudos to our colleagues for sharing their knowledge, perspectives, and curiosity - and to everyone who joined for another round of bite-size learning, whether in the room or online. 💚

What better way to kick off Cybersecurity Awareness Month than with a full day of hacking, pentesting, learning, and putting skills to the test? 🔐
Our team spent the day at Hack The Hague, taking on challenges, sharing knowledge, and hopefully finding more bugs than the bad guys.
Because when you put a group of pentesters in a room, you know things are going to get interesting..😏

Pentru al 12-lea an, Fondul de Burse Centric investește în liceeni care vor să ducă mai departe pasiunea lor pentru matematică și informatică.

Iar anul acesta, avem o veste bună: valoarea bursei crește de la 4.000 la 6.000 de lei.

Dacă ești în clasa a X-a, a XI-a sau a XII-a și îți place să înțelegi cm funcționează lucrurile, să rezolvi probleme, să scrii cod sau pur și simplu simți că matematica sau informatica te atrag mai mult decât o materie obișnuită, te invităm să aplici.

It has become a tradition now to be part of the people who are welcoming students into their new year. 🎓
Yesterday, lots of curious eyes were looking forward to the new academic year at Facultatea de Informatica Iasi and we were happy to be there and share this special moment with them.
Our colleague Cristian Eftinoiu shared a few thoughts and words of encouragement, welcoming students to this new chapter and reminding them that becoming a true professional is a journey worth aiming for from the very beginning. 💚 We were happy to connect with students, celebrate their achievements, and award the top-performing students.
Here’s to a new year full of curiosity, learning, and new beginnings! 🚀
