Two weeks into our Academy journey! 🎉

Nine trainees, learning Progress OpenEdge from the ground up. The excitement of day one is settling into something even better: real focus, real questions, and real progress.

What makes us proud? The mentors guiding them through it were trainees themselves. That's the heart of it: we don't just train people, we grow them, and then we watch them come back to do the same for the next group. 💪

Six weeks to go. We can't wait to see where this journey takes them.

This week, 9 new trainees took their first steps into our Progress OpenEdge Academy.
Every journey starts with a first week: meeting new people, asking questions, discovering new concepts, and stepping outside the comfort zone. The energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm already filling the room make us excited for what comes next.

Swap day at the office today, and it was genuinely one of the favorite things we’ve done 📚🌱

We brought a book we loved or a plant cutting we’ve grown ourselves, and we just… traded. Left with a new favorite read and a little green friend that used to live on someone else’s desk.

Small thing, but it made the office feel like a community today, not just a workplace.

Turns out our team does a lot more than just work magic at the office—we also know how to throw a proper wizarding garden party! 🪄🌱

From competitive Quidditch lawn games to sipping on “potions” in the sun, we traded our keyboards for wands and had the absolute best time.

Starting something new is scary. Every single one of our trainees will tell you that. 🤍

Mihai found a team warm enough to ask anything, an environment where no question was too small, and by the end, more confidence in his code than he knew he had.

David will also tell you it was worth it. What started as terrifying quickly became one of the most rewarding experiences of his career, shaped by mentors who didn't just explain things but made him genuinely curious about them.

The technology was new to them. The learning curve is real. But you won't be doing it alone.

Denisa came in wanting something that would spark her curiosity and push her limits. The training delivered, and so did the team around her.
Emil walked in not knowing what to expect from his first internship. He walked out with a technical foundation, the confidence to use it and a job.

Ever read a job description and think "that's not me... yet"? 🤔
We get it. Most listings ask for 3 years of experience for a junior role. That's not what we're doing here.

What we're actually looking for is pretty simple:

⭐ You're finishing up your degree or just graduated and you're ready for the real thing
⭐ You've built something. A uni project, a side thing, a hackathon entry — it counts
⭐ You're the kind of person who Googles the error before asking for help (but isn't afraid to ask)
⭐ Databases, back-end logic, enterprise apps — that stuff genuinely interests you

If you're nodding along, that's the point. 👆

Our OpenEdge Pre-Employment Training isn't a bootcamp you complete and forget. It's an 8-week, 6h/day program that can end with a backend developer job at Wayfare, with people who will actually invest in your growth for the long run.
