Friday Throwback: Night Run Edition

Last Friday, our colleagues Andreea, Raluca, Adi and Vlad braved the rain for the Night Run in Cluj Central Park.
“It was an interesting experience – I’d never run at night before! It rained quite a bit, which made it tricky to see where we were stepping. We were cold afterwards, but at least snacks and hot drinks were waiting for us. Overall, it was fun – I didn’t realize running at night feels so different from daytime running,” shared one of our teammates.
A night to remember, and a reminder that sometimes the best experiences happen when you step out of your comfort zone!

Before winter settles in, part of the Nexttech team spent a sunny autumn day at Valul Miresei Waterfall. It was an easy two-hour walk filled with laughter, good talks, and that crisp mountain air we all love.
We were lucky to catch one of those rare October days with blue skies and golden light — a simple but refreshing escape before the cold season begins.

This Saturday we traded our desks for mountain trails! Together with our colleagues, and 3 furry friends we hiked Vladeasa for 5 hours, surrounded by the beauty of autumn nature – fresh air, wild mushrooms, and breathtaking mountain scenery.
Such moments remind us how good it feels to recharge outdoors, together. 💚

We came back from JSHeroes 2025 with fresh perspectives and plenty of food for thought. Here are just a few of the sessions and themes that sparked our curiosity:
- Full-stack forms with JSON Schemas
- Compassionate compilers and technical debt lessons
- Accessibility: blessing or curse?
- Security-first web apps & safe refactorings
- The comeback of RPC and the evolution of tooling
- Scroll-driven animations and the future of CSS
- And of course: LLMs in software engineering — not replacements, but accelerators.
The main takeaway? Technology continues to advance rapidly, but the human role in software engineering — understanding, evaluating, and innovating — remains irreplaceable.

Colleagues traded the office for the great outdoors and set out on a four-hour hike to Piatra lui Lucaci. The trail rewarded them with perfect weather — clear skies with fluffy clouds, just the right temperature, and breathtaking views along the way.

At the top, a well-deserved half-hour break offered time to rest, take in the scenery, and share good conversations. It was more than just a hike: a moment of quality time, connection, and fresh energy in the heart of nature.
