Rwanda has the ambition to pioneer the implementation of a national governance of consent, in relation to all the cases when citizens can actively decide on the use of their personal data. This is a very timely topic, that is getting a lot of traction and attention, rightly so.
Having a standardized approach for the consent governance at the level of the country remains complex, due to the need of institutional alignment and technical integration efforts.
GovStack through the Consent Building Block and the corresponding open source components is accelerating the possibility of such projects at at national level.
I'm happy to have contributed to the facilitation of the Consent Governance in Rwanda workshop, together with Lal Chandran, co-founder of iGrant.io™ and key contributor to the GovStack Consent BB, and with Thomas Wiemann.
I'm confident that we will soon see progress, as the next steps are set, with a PoC being already in implmentation as result of the workshop.

In the framework of the AU-EU Digital for Development (D4D) Hub project, the Public Procurement Authority (PPDA) of Uganda receives support for advancing its digital transformation journey.
I am glad that I could be part of this process, through the workshop held on the 20th of March, aimed to update the institutional digitalization roadmap and to identify the feasible approaches to change.
Digital transformation of public procurement and of the institutions that govern it are prerequisites for the effective spending of public money. Still, this process is tremendously difficult in every country, as it is complex, it involves many stakeholders and it faces significant resistance.
We realize well that the transformation is in the first place of mentalities, that the change management needs to address the people first, the activities next, and only afterward the technology, which is the simplest layer to solve.
Arxia and I have pledged our strategic commitment to supporting the evolution of public procurement, and we're ready to engage at any latitude to help the governments advance.

The recent growth of the digital economy in the Philippines has been phenomenal, reaching an export figure of over US$32 billion. However, most of the growth can be attributed to the BPO industry, while the IT component counts for just about 15% of the employed force of 1.4 million in the ICT & BPO sector.

As the process outsourcing services, especially the call centers, face a major challenge from the rise of AI, the country of 120 million averaging 25 years of age needs to focus on IT innovation, taking advantage of the accelerated demand for digital transformation of the country and the macro-region.

The EU - Philippines Partnership Conference focusing on Digital Transformation was a good opportunity to discuss how policies and international cooperation can convert the great potential of the country's youth to higher value.

Spending one week in Manila, I discussed with various stakeholders, associations, IT entrepreneurs, and young ambitious people, I was impressed by the potential and convinced that there is much that we can do together. I'll be back for more, for sure.

A new corporate project for our PlanningWiz Room Planner platform, we created a personalized interactive planner for EZ Expo, the Saudi Arabia "leading company in the design, planning and implementation of exphbitions and events". The planner allows them and their customers to design personalized exhibition booths using their special catalog of display elements.
