We are in! 🥳
-----------------------------------------
There is an increasing disconnect between urban mobility planning and contemporary cultural infrastructure of the cities. While contemporary cultural venues are multiplying, many have very low visibility and/or accessibility to the majority of citizens and tourists alike - especially those located in peripheral areas or off traditional tourist or transit routes.
Current urban mobility systems rarely integrate cultural public space design, walking and/or cycling as cultural mobility, or even basic digital navigation of the cultural ecosystem. This leads to low foot traffic for cultural spaces, underutilized cultural zones, and a lack of coherent access to sustainable, decentralized cultural exploration.
At the same time, mobility data management systems and city tourism platforms fail to recognize the temporal and spatial dynamics of the cultural scene ( for example, in visual arts: temporary exhibitions, vernissages, open studios, and public installations that are mobile, seasonal, or semi-permanent).
There is no AI-optimized, citizen-facing urban mobility digital platform designed to help users discover and access contemporary culture ecosystems efficiently and meaningfully - by walking, cycling, or combining public transport with context-rich discovery.
This leads to fragmented, inaccessible, and unoptimized experience of discovering and navigating the contemporary culture ecosystem within urban and peri-urban mobility contexts.
After two intense weeks of reviewing 51 bold, forward-thinking applications… we finally have them.
