After attending the latest edition of French Tech Bucharest at the Romanian Embassy in Paris, our colleagues continued their journey with a visit to Viva Tech.

As one of Europe's leading innovation events, VivaTech brings together startups, technology leaders, investors, and innovators from around the world, offering a unique perspective on the trends shaping the future of business and technology.

For our team, it was a great opportunity to discover emerging technologies and see why VivaTech is one of the most important gatherings in the global tech calendar.

It was a pleasure for us to once again attend the latest edition of French Tech Bucharest, hosted in the prestigious Palais Béhague, home to the Romanian Embassy in Paris, by Her Excellency Ioana Bivolaru, Ambassador of Romania to France.

For HN, these events have become a tradition over the past few years. Beyond the business discussions, they are opportunities to reconnect with long-standing partners and friends, share ideas, explore new opportunities, and build relationships that continue to strengthen the ties between the French and Romanian business ecosystems.

During the event, our CEO, Adrian Ulescu, EMBA, shared a message that resonated strongly with our own journey. Nearly twenty years after opening HN's first office in Bucharest, he reflected on how the relationship between France and Romania has matured into a partnership built not only on technical excellence but also on trust, cultural proximity, and shared values.

"Beyond technology and business, what we build above all are lasting human relationships."

As HN Romania celebrates its 20th anniversary, we are proud to continue contributing to this unique bridge between France and Romania and to support the continued growth of both ecosystems.

This week, for a couple of hours, we switched up our daily routine and opened our doors to the children of Asociatia Valentina Romania, showing them what we actually do for a living.

Our CEO, Adrian Ulescu, EMBA, opened the conversation by mapping out what a career in IT can look like: banking applications that shape everyday life, educational platforms, healthcare, and optical projects, all with a real impact on everyone's life

Then our colleague Alexandra Săraru took over and did what's hardest to do: she made programming make sense. Acting as a human computer, she challenged the kids to give her precise instructions, and a jar of jam and a slice of bread did the rest. This was the perfect recipe to genuinely engage a room full of kids.

What stayed with us at the end of the day is simple: even a small moment of connection can be enough. Enough to show a child that there are role models out there, reference points, and doors worth opening, beyond the neighborhood, beyond what they already know.

✨Celebrating 20 years in Romania is not only about looking back at what we've achieved, but also about recognizing the people who make this journey possible.

Our recent team-building event was a great opportunity to step away from our daily routines, connect in a different setting, and collaborate in new mixed teams. Once again, it reminded us that these are the moments that truly bring us together as one team, beyond the projects, departments, and clients we work with every day.

Over the years, our teams have grown, new colleagues have joined, and new offices have opened, but one thing has remained unchanged: the value we place on collaboration, trust, and genuine human connections.

A few months ago, during a webinar on nearshoring held together with our partner Estreem, one of the key takeaways was the importance of staying close to the teams behind the projects, even when working remotely, across different countries.

After more than 18 years of collaboration, this partnership continues to be built not only on delivery and shared business objectives, but also on strong human connections with the colleagues working every day here in Romania on the projects.
Last week’s visit from the Estreem team to our Bucharest office was a valuable opportunity to reconnect in person, share project news and perspectives, and spend quality time together both inside and outside the office in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere.

Thank you again to the Estreem team for the visit and for a partnership that keeps growing stronger year after year.
