This was a 10+ year journey in the making and we're thankful for all the elephants, clients and partners that through the years made ColorElephant what it was.

🚨 False Job Advertisements and Offers 🚨

We've been made aware of circulating false job listings at ColorElephant for a series of positions ranging from Senior Auditor to... General Manager (Gerente) for our Porto location in a popular job site.

The candidates are then reached out via phone / WhatsApp from an individual (with a fake photo and name) who does NOT represent ColorElephant.

ColorElephant is not behind any of the offers being advertised on and you should *not* apply to any of these.

As we work with Indeed.com to take these down swiftly and ensure the perpetrators do not continue their activity, we ask everyone that applied to such positions to get in touch with us for further clarification.

At ColorElephant we are proud to have a truly remote and decentralized team working from all corners of the globe, passionately following the same standards.

One of these corners is Nigeria 🇳🇬 where we have been able to find insanely talented, motivated, and eager to grow individuals who are now part of our 30+ strong team.

Needless to say, we are saddened, revolted, and disgusted by the reports and imagery coming out of Nigeria. Part of operating globally is knowing how to understand and respect local norms and "ways of working" — but no way of working or local norm can justify police brutality against their own citizens or the fears and will of millions of young people to be blatantly ignored.

We have witnessed first hand the talent and hard work of our Nigerian colleagues and fully acknowledge that those are the people that can end Nigeria's infamous association with internet scams and position it as a bright hotspot of the tech and startup renaissance in Africa. But for that, people like them need to feel safe and respected, not abused and robbed of their livelihood.

Today we openly stand with those trying to get a better tomorrow and feel sorry for those wounded or killed in the protests. Not only because that aligns with everything we believe in, but because "they" are, in this very case, "us".

To put our money where our mouth is, ColorElephant has made a financial contribution - via bitcoin - to the movement, hopefully helping to treat and support those directly affected.

For those who didn’t know ColorElephant was born in Portugal. And today marks Portugal Day! The flag is predominantly red and green; the Portuguese coat of arms is pictured where the two colors meet. FunFact - The green symbolizes hope for the future; the red symbolizes the blood of the nation.. The five blue small shields represent the five Moorish kings who were defeated by the first King of Portugal.

Today marks Children’s day, celebrated in 17 countries globally and we thought it’d be adequate to introduce you all to our newest team member who had some difficulty choosing her color, so she settled for rainbow 🌈 This is Bali 🐱 and she is exactly two months young today! She won’t be a project manager as she hasn’t yet taken the course for that, but seeing as she puts a smile on everyones face that meets her, she’s our designated happiness manager 😀 And yes, she already has a diary full of calls! @ Porto, Portugal
