In addition to it's client based commissioned work, FBA has curated, written and produced some design related books for the Almedina publishing group. Recognizing that design is critical to addressing progress in our society and should not just be available to those who can afford to buy it, FBA has regularly developed pro-bono branding guidance and implementation, printed documentation and a wide variety of collateral design projects with selected non-profit organizations working in areas such as mental health awareness, crime victim support and general social inclusion. FBA is a proud former start-up and a current associate company of the Instituto Pedro Nunes Business Incubator, awarded with the The Technopolicy Network 2010 award for the wolrd's Best Science Based Incubator.
