Here we have the connected to the iPad via USB-C with the VS 2 app receiving the MIDI notes of the arrangement, literally opening a window of real landscapes for your beat.

With the VS 2, each pad of your MPC chop sample can be associated with different video takes, giving your performance a visual dimension.

This is possible because each pad has an associated MIDI note. These MIDI notes reach the VS 2 via a 5-pin MIDI cable connected to your audio interface. In this example, we use note groups 36 to 43 so that each sample cut triggers a different video take.

You can project onto your own laptop, video monitor, wall projector, and of course, a live LED projector on stage.

Granular ✨ A curated expansion for VS.
A collection of image-driven shaders inspired by granular synthesis, sampling the natural world through stock imagery. Graphic slice patterns, noise displacement, and raymarched 3D grain clouds move through waveform oscillators, pixel-sort breakdowns, and turbulent feedback textures.

LK’s new module Step Sequencer can be used for quick sketching, aleatoric scale-sensitive melodies and jamming out.

And with MIDI output, you can use it to send notes and CC automations to other devices for hardware jams - in this case, VS putting on a light show.

VS 2 synchronizes visuals with your beat allowing you to make creative uses on a chromakey printed directly on a green shirt, for example. Here we use the midi notes of kick, snare and hihat to expand the performance experience in also for the visual aspect

VS 2 audio modulators work extremely well even with electroacoustic instruments like this noise box.

In Gate mode, AM follows the peaks (higher amplitude values) of the sound. The visuals react to elements with high transients in dynamic sounds.

If you want to work with sound frequencies, in Spectrum mode you can isolate a specific frequency range so that visuals react to low, medium or high sounds.
