O ecossistema de inovação do Norte de Portugal vai reunir-se no dia 22 de setembro, e a sua voz é fundamental.

🗣️O workshop "Mobilidade Sustentável e Transição Energética: Inovação, Competitividade e Competências para o Futuro", organizado pelo CiTin - Centro de Interface Tecnológico Industrial e pelo CENTI - Centre for Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials, será o ponto de encontro para debater desafios, antecipar tendências e desenhar as prioridades estratégicas da Plataforma Regional de Especialização Inteligente para a Mobilidade Sustentável e Transição Energética (PREI-MSTE).

O diretor-geral do CiTin - Centro de Interface Tecnológico Industrialn, Sérgio Lopes, visitou este mês de agosto as instalações do Bikinnov - Bike Value Innovation Center - Association, em Águeda, a convite do diretor-geral da instituição, David Macário.

A visita permitiu analisar possíveis colaborações em atividades de investigação e desenvolvimento e reforçar a ligação entre duas entidades que partilham o compromisso com a inovação.

O CiTin e o BIKiNNOV são Centros de Tecnologia e Inovação reconhecidos pelo Governo de Portugal e pela Agência Nacional de Inovação, e fazem parte da CTI Alliance.

CiTin's General Director, Sérgio Lopes, visited the facilities of BIKiNNOV - Bike Value Innovation Center - Association, in Águeda, this August, at the invitation of the institution's General Director, David Macário.

The visit made it possible to explore potential collaborations in research and development activities and strengthen the connection between two organisations that share a commitment to innovation.

CiTin and BIKiNNOV are Technology and Innovation Centres recognised by Portuguese Government and by ANI, and are members of the CTI Alliance.

🤝 Cooperação para criar oportunidades de emprego e gerar valor no território

O CiTin - Centro de Interface Tecnológico Industrial participou no encontro promovido pelo Município de Arcos de Valdevez para promover uma maior articulação entre as necessidades das empresas e a oferta formativa, contribuindo para criar mais oportunidades de emprego no território.

🤝 O encontro, que reuniu centros de interface, empresas, instituições de ensino superior e entidades do concelho, promoveu o diálogo, a partilha de conhecimento e a criação de parcerias entre os diferentes intervenientes, aproximando empresas, ensino e inovação.

Participaram também representantes da Universidade Politécnica de Viana do Castelo Unipvcc, da Universidade do Minho, da TecMinho – Universidade do Minho Interface, da In.Cubo AltoMinho – Incubadora de Iniciativas Empresariais Inovadoras e de várias empresas instaladas em Arcos de Valdevez.

A colaboração entre centros de interface, instituições de ensino e empresas é essencial para aproximar o conhecimento, a inovação e a indústria, contribuindo para um território mais competitivo e com maior capacidade para atrair, qualificar e fixar jovens talentos.

🤝 Collaboration to create employment opportunities and generate value for the region

CiTin took part in the meeting organised by the Municipality of Arcos de Valdevez to strengthen the connection between companies' needs and educational provision, helping to create more employment opportunities across the region.

🤝 The meeting brought together interface centres, companies, education institutions and local organisations, fostering dialogue, knowledge sharing and new partnerships between industry, education and innovation.

Participants also included representatives from the Polytechnic University of Viana do Castelo, University of Minho, TecMinho – University of Minho Interface, In.Cubo and several companies based in Arcos de Valdevez.

Collaboration between interface centers, education institutions and companies is essential to connect knowledge, innovation and industry, contributing to a more competitive region that can attract, develop and retain young talent.

O CiTin - Centro de Interface Tecnológico Industrial participou na primeira reunião plenária da CTI Alliance, que reuniu os Centros de Tecnologia e Inovação que integram esta Aliança, num momento dedicado ao alinhamento de prioridades estratégicas e ao fortalecimento da colaboração entre os seus membros.

📍 Organizada pelo Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT), em Aveiro, a reunião significou um passo importante na consolidação da CTI Alliance, criada para valorizar o papel dos Centros de Tecnologia e Inovação no desenvolvimento económico, na inovação tecnológica e nas transições digital e verde.

Enquanto membro da CTI Alliance, o CiTin contribui para uma visão comum que promove a inovação, a valorização do conhecimento e o desenvolvimento de soluções com impacto na sociedade e na competitividade do país.

CiTin took part in the first plenary meeting of the CTI Alliance, which brought together the Technology and Innovation Centres that are part of the Alliance, in a meeting dedicated to aligning strategic priorities and strengthening collaboration among its members.

📍 Organised by the Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT) in Aveiro, the meeting marked an important step in consolidating the CTI Alliance, created to enhance the role of Technology and Innovation Centers in economic development, technological innovation, and the digital and green transitions.

CiTin, ADiT-Lab e IPVC integram a estratégia europeia para a inovação automóvel 🌍🚗

A investigação aplicada e a transferência de tecnologia do Alto Minho subiram ao palco europeu. O CiTin - Centro de Interface Tecnológico Industrial e o ADiT-LAB - Applied Digital Transformation Laboratory, representados por Sérgio Ivan Lopes e Jorge Esparteiro Garcia, levaram a Universidade Politécnica de Viana do Castelo Unipvc a Bruxelas para discutir a colaboração para o futuro da mobilidade sustentável, da indústria automóvel, da digitalização e dos sistemas inteligentes.

A comitiva participou no workshop internacional "Regional Innovation through Collaboration: Exploring Synergies between ARA and SUNRISE", promovido pela Automotive Regions Alliance (ARA) e pela Sunrise Alliance (da qual o IPVC é membro). O encontro reuniu parceiros europeus e lançou as bases para futuras iniciativas conjuntas em investigação, inovação tecnológica, competências e financiamento.

🗣️Foi destacado o potencial de inovação do Alto Minho e da Eurorregião Galiza-Norte de Portugal, bem como a ligação ao Mobinov - Cluster Automóvel e da Mobilidade Portugal, a proximidade a cadeias de valor internacionais e a oferta do IPVC em engenharia mecânica, mecatrónica, eletrónica automóvel, eletrificação, logística e Indústria 4.0, desenhada à medida do mercado.

CiTin, ADiT-Lab and IPVC join the European strategy for automotive innovation 🌍🚗

Applied research and technology transfer from Alto Minho took centre stage in Europe. CiTin and ADiT-Lab, represented by Sérgio Lopes and Jorge Garcia, brought IPVC to Brussels to discuss collaboration for the future of sustainable mobility, the automotive industry, digitalisation and intelligent systems.

The delegation took part in the international workshop "Regional Innovation through Collaboration: Exploring Synergies between ARA and SUNRISE", organised by the Automotive Regions Alliance (ARA) and the SUNRISE Alliance (of which IPVC is a member). The event brought together European partners and laid the foundations for future joint initiatives in research, technological innovation, skills development and European funding.

🗣️The innovation potential of Alto Minho and the Galicia–Northern Portugal Euroregion was highlighted, together with the strong connection to the MOBINOV Cluster, the proximity to international value chains, and IPVC's programmes in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automotive electronics, electrification, logistics and Industry 4.0, designed to meet market needs.

This participation highlights the role of IPVC, through CiTin and ADiT-Lab, as an active player in European innovation, bringing science closer to the real needs of businesses and territories! 🚀

A inovação na indústria aeronáutica continua a ganhar altitude ✈️

O CiTin - Centro de Interface Tecnológico Industrial marcou presença na inauguração da nova unidade de produção da Nexteam Portugal, empresa parceira e uma referência no setor aeronáutico.

➡️ Com um investimento de cerca de 22 milhões de euros, a nova unidade reforça a capacidade produtiva da empresa e consolida Arcos de Valdevez e o Alto Minho como um polo de referência para a indústria aeronáutica e para a inovação.

A cerimónia assinalou também os 25 anos da Nexteam Portugal e os 20 anos da Satys Portugal, reunindo representantes do Governo, autarquias, empresas e instituições da região.

O CiTin felicita a Nexteam Portugal por este importante marco, que evidencia o papel da inovação, da tecnologia e da colaboração no desenvolvimento de uma indústria mais competitiva.

Innovation in the aerospace industry continues to reach new heights ✈️

CiTin attended the inauguration of the new production facility of Nexteam Portugal, a partner company and a benchmark in the aerospace industry.

➡️ With an investment of approximately €22 million, the new facility strengthens the company's production capacity and reinforces the position of Arcos de Valdevez and the Alto Minho region as a leading hub for the aerospace industry and innovation.

The ceremony also marked the 25th anniversary of Nexteam Portugal and the 20th anniversary of Satys Portugal, bringing together government representatives, local authorities, companies and regional institutions.

CiTin congratulates Nexteam Portugal on this important milestone, highlighting the role of innovation, technology and collaboration in building a more competitive industry.
