On the Streets of Fernando Pessoa is a walking literary tour from São Carlos Square in Chiado to Douradores Street, the inspirational background to Pessoa’s best-seller “Book of Disquiet”. The walk is enhanced by multimedia elements, displayed on a tablet, and takes the group members to the streets and squares of Chiado, Rossio and Lisbon’s Downtown, whilst discovering the life and work of Fernando Pessoa, in the heart of the city he called his home.
Group members will get to know Pessoa’s birthplace, the cafés and bookshops he frequented, the location of the most important offices he worked for and even the address where he met Ophélia, the only woman who could capture the writer’s love.
This is a specific walking tour, exclusive, original and clearly differentiated from other literary walks dedicated to Pessoa. Ricardo Belo de Morais is a skilled communicator and story teller (a professional in public speaking, radio DJ-ing and tour guiding), thus bringing all his research knowledge on Pessoa to life, in a fun, relatable and fluid manner.
