Kubescape started as a project of love, to provide the K8s community with the ultimate tool to scan and mitigate miscofigurations and vulnerabilities in Kuberbetes infrasturcture.

It was loved so much that hundreds of podcasts, features, blogs, and of course fans giving it stars on Github later, it was adopted as an official sandbox project by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation [CNCF].

ARMO named in Gartner® Cool Vendors™ and we couldn’t be more honored 🐼🤯

So what makes us cool? When it comes to securing Kubernetes deployments, there is often a trade-off between using a collection of open-source tools or investing in a proprietary platform. ARMO is building an open-source based Kubernetes security tool differently.

ARMO led the development of Kubescape, an open-source end-to-end Kubernetes security platform, which was accepted as Cloud-Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) Sandbox project. As the lead maintainer of the project, ARMO guides its roadmap and is actively building a community around it. ARMO's belief is that just as Kubernetes is open source, its security should be too.

The Jit team recently benchmarked - invented by ARMO and now a sandbox project of the Cloud native computing foundation (CNCF) - and found that it "HANDS-DOWN" [their words, not ours] performed better than other widely adopted K8s security tools.

Even when compared to Kubernetes Goat, Goof and Kube Security Lab.

"It found significantly more true positives – double the next best OSS tool (e.g. 45 in Kube Security Lab with the next competitor turning up a mere 20!)."
