Tier 2 IT Support Engineer

Efrat Networks is searching for an experienced Tier 2 IT support engineer or specialist to join our Inside Support team with options to advance to Tier 3 or System-level position in the future. The candidate will be exposed to wide range of technologies, vendors and IT systems operated by various organizations of different sizes and in different industries. The candidate will provide support to field engineers and remote support to customers with workstations, servers, networks and WAN connections. The candidate will be helping create and resolve service requests, managing various IT projects and triaging support cases to colleagues.

Requirements:
3+ years experience
Ability to independently troubleshoot wide range of IT issues
Ability to manage time and prioritize
Experience with RMM systems and monitoring systems - advantage
Knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019
Good knowledge of Windows 10
Experience with Microsoft Office 365
Experience with Remote Support
Teamwork and Strong Diagnostic Abilities
Service Oriented Personality
Fluent English and Hebrew, full command in written as well as spoken English
University Degree - advantage

Home Alone Again... Maybe
While most of us in Israel are taking lightly the latest COVID wave, the daily stats seem to point to a more serious situation. For offices, this may mean that our staff will again need to work from home.

The Challenge
The veil of uncertainty surrounding all of us, creates an unending array of new business challenges. Most businesses that are still operating need to migrate from an office work environment to having all of employees work from home. Here are some of the most 'burning' issues for businesses needing to work from home:

- Accessibility - Our employees can't access the company server

- Security issues - I'm worried that my company files and security will be compromised somehow with my employees working from home

- Connectivity issues because everyone is working from a different location - e.g., my VPN is disconnecting, poor connectivity at home, we can't get reliable video sessions set up with other people, or some of my employees don't even have internet lines to work from home

- WiFI not reliable - My employee doesn't have reliable WiFi at home and he's connecting to an unsecured WiFi source from one of his neighbors

- Hardware Problems- I don't have a computer to work on from home, or my screen is not big enough, or its really noisy when I speak on the phone
