El capítulo se fundó en Octubre del 2014 y tiene raíces en el Departamento de Matemáticas y Ciencias de Cómputos del UPR-RUM. Actualmente tenemos miembros de diversas disciplinas y como meta tenemos el enriquecimiento académico y

Everybody is invited to Coding Club!

Coding Club are 1 hour and 30min weekly sessions where students will get the opportunity to practice a technical skills while collaborating with other students.

During these sessions student will get a technical practice problem to do with other students and improve their coding skills.

Our fifth session is Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 7:00pm and every session will be done virtually.

There will be a scholarship opportunity to students who participate every
coding club session.

Our fifth topic is Graphs

CAHSI - Southeast invites everyone to join us in the Coding Club. Coding Club are 1 hour and 30min weekly sessions where students will get the opportunity to practice technical skills while collaborating with other students.

What is a CAHSI Scholar?
A CAHSI Student Scholar (CAHSI Scholar) is a student who exemplifies a spirit of tech exploration, inclusiveness, and community. CAHSI invites undergraduate students as well as graduate students who are pursuing a degree in a computing field and who have demonstrated exceptional achievement in technical knowledge and service to the community are eligible for this program.

What are the requirements?

Professional Development:
This can include participation in CAHSI-led workshops or other workshops offered via conferences, industry, or associations (e.g., ARG, Writing, How to Sell Yourself and Your Ideas).
Scholarly Achievements:
These achievements may extend beyond GPA and merit-based awards (e.g., competitions, certifications, recognitions). Individuals should have a GPA of 3.2 or higher. Individuals who have an overall GPA below this mark and wish to be considered as a CAHSI Scholar should articulate the challenges they have faced academically and their respective areas of growth in their essay response.
Community Outreach:
This may include engagement with K-12, study groups, tutoring, and/or mentoring.
Co-curricular or extracurricular activities:
This may be evidenced but not limited to undergraduate research, internships/externships, and other related efforts. Possible emphasis on specialties.
