💡 When is Drupal 11 or Drupal CMS the strongest path after Drupal 7?

When the site is more than a brochure. Structured content, roles, forms, workflow, multilingual needs, integrations, and a long platform life still point to Drupal.

In the article, you'll discover:
✅ which requirements make Drupal 11 / Drupal CMS a strong fit.
✅ why a solid backend can serve for years while the frontend refreshes sooner.
✅ how banks, universities, and public institutions use Drupal for stability.
✅ a practical path: new build on Drupal + migrate what still has value.

🎨 Before you approve a Drupal redesign, migration, or agency change, do you know which risks are actually inside the website?

A design discussion cannot answer whether custom modules block upgrades, security updates are irregular, the deployment process is fragile, or the content model makes editors dependent on developers.

A Drupal Code Audit creates a baseline across:
✅ codebase and architecture,
✅ security and update status,
✅ deployment, backups, and monitoring,
✅ performance and Core Web Vitals,
✅ editor experience,
✅ accessibility and technical SEO risks.

The output should not be a score without context. It should be a risk register, priorities, effort ranges, and a 90-day roadmap that supports a decision: stabilize, modernize, migrate, rebuild, change vendor, or move into ongoing ownership.

That shared evidence helps IT, marketing, and leadership discuss the same risks and priorities.

💡 Make the expensive decision after the evidence, not before it.

💙 Driesnote time at DrupalCon Rotterdam.

📣 Dries Buytaert on the main stage today: the room full, phones up, and the DrupalCon community watching the State of Drupal together.

🚀 Chicago already framed the big themes: Drupal CMS 2.1, site templates, AI in the product, and what comes next for agencies and builders. Sitting in the keynote hall in Rotterdam is the follow-up: same roadmap, European crowd, live reactions.

We wrote up our top 10 takeaways from the Chicago Driesnote on the blog. Worth a read if you want context before the rest of the week here in Rotterdam.

💙 Booth day at DrupalCon Rotterdam: team, treats, and Open Stage.

📣 Agata from our team is at the Open Intranet booth at Postillion WTC. Walking the sponsor row? Come say hi and scan the QR on the banner.

🎁 We packed notebooks, pens, lanyards, mascots, and a jar of Krówka with an Open Intranet wrap: a small Polish hello between sessions.

🎤 On the Open Stage, Maciej Łukianski Droptica Co-founder, presented Open Intranet: a Drupal-based digital workplace you can build on.

💡 Part 1 gave you Hero, Text and Image, and Feature Grid. Part 2 is where a rigid library becomes one editors trust for years.

Maciej Lukianski closes our Drupal Paragraphs tutorial with the patterns we use on production rebuilds: style variants, responsive layouts, spacing controls, and admin UX that needs no training workshop.

In the article:
✅ color and style variants with CSS custom properties and behavior plugins.
✅ mobile first layouts and responsive images per breakpoint.
✅ editor controlled margin and padding that fix stacked section gaps.
✅ conditional fields, Gin admin theme, and a plan to grow the library.

🌐 A website modernization plan should deliver something useful before the final slide in the roadmap.

Our phased approach separates the work into four steps:

1. Quick wins: fix the most painful editing, mobile, and page experience issues.
2. Component library: give editors reusable blocks for building pages without developer tickets.
3. Structural improvements: address navigation, information architecture, forms, and performance.
4. Continuous enhancement: add components when demand appears and reduce technical debt alongside new features.

Each phase produces a usable result. That matters because stakeholders can see progress, teams can test assumptions, and risk stays contained.

It also gives the organization natural checkpoints to continue, adjust the next phase, or stop without losing the value already delivered.

The point is not to avoid ambitious change. It is to stop freezing an existing website for months while every improvement waits for one large launch.

💡 Ask ChatGPT which vendor to hire in your category and you get a short list of names. Google Search Console will never tell you how often your brand appears there or which competitor gets named instead.

That blind spot is answer engine optimization (AEO/GEO): making sure AI assistants mention and cite your brand when buyers ask questions in your category. In SEO you fight for a ranking and a click. In AEO/GEO you fight to be named at all.

In the article, you'll discover:
✅ what AEO/GEO is and why it became its own discipline.
✅ AEO/GEO vs SEO - mentions and citations instead of positions and CTR.
✅ Ansvisor, an open source and self-hosted AI visibility platform.
✅ the public visibility formula: 50% mention count, 25% position, 25% citation presence.
✅ a simple experiment: ask five pre-shortlist questions and count your mentions.

💡 LangChain or raw OpenAI API for your RAG project? This decision will shape your next 6-12 months.

We faced this exact choice while building an AI document chatbot. After 6+ months in production, our verdict is clear: we chose LangChain + LangGraph, and we'd make the same choice again.

But raw OpenAI isn't wrong, it's just right for different scenarios.

In the article, you'll discover:
✅ what LangChain and LangGraph actually provide (beyond abstractions),
✅ when raw OpenAI API makes more sense for your project,
✅ our honest production experience with all three technologies.

💡 Installing Drupal Paragraphs takes minutes. Building a library editors trust for years takes planning.

Maciej Lukianski opens part 1 of our tutorial with the step most teams skip: audit pages, find recurring sections, and define a small reusable set before the first field goes live.

In the article:
✅ how to plan a component library that covers most corporate pages.
✅ Paragraphs setup and field naming conventions that scale.
✅ Hero, Text and Image, and Feature Grid with real Twig templates.
✅ how to test the editor experience before the library grows.
