Today we're thinking about the person our name comes from.

Stanisław Ulam was born on April 13, 1909. A mathematician who didn't just solve problems - he found patterns where others saw noise. The Ulam spiral, where prime numbers arrange themselves along a simple diagonal path, is one of those ideas that makes you stop and ask: how did nobody see this before?

It's also the shape behind our logo.

We work in MedTech, a space where the problems are complex, the stakes are high, and finding the right pattern matters more than moving fast.

That's the kind of thinking we try to bring to the work. Not just building what's asked, but looking for the structure underneath.

Happy birthday, Stanisław. Still an inspiration!

More exciting news from ULAM LABS!
Michal Korzeniowski has officially stepped into the role of Chief Operating Officer, while continuing to lead our delivery teams as Head of Delivery. Now officially, though he’s been shaping this role for a while.

With 16+ years in software and leadership (9 of them at ULAM LABS!) Michał has done it all: developer, team lead, engineering manager, Head of Delivery, and even CTO. That journey gives him a rare, hands-on understanding of what our teams and clients really need. He believes that great delivery starts with trust - between the team and the client, and between people who build things together every day.

As COO, Michał now focuses on company-wide operations, strategy, and profitability, all while continuing to guide our delivery teams.

We’re excited to officially share an important milestone in ULAM LABS’ story that has already been unfolding for some time.
Rafał Nowicki has stepped into the role of Chief Technology Officer!

With over 12 years of experience in software engineering and technical leadership, Rafał has been shaping projects and teams for years, and now will guide our technology vision even more directly.

He focuses on building secure and reliable technologies for the healthcare sector, believing that the most meaningful innovations happen where technology meets empathy.

This promotion is a natural next step in how we grow as a company: by trusting the people who already build our culture and products every day.

In 6 years at ULAM LABS, she’s progressed from QA to Project Manager to Account Manager, proving herself as a leader teams and clients can rely on. She knows this company inside out: our standards, our culture, and what makes our partnerships truly work.

Now, she takes the helm at a moment when we’re ready to sharpen our focus, strengthen our product and delivery excellence, and build even stronger foundation for long-term growth.

It’s Bicycle Day! And it fits perfectly with the Active Summer Challenge, which we kicked off yesterday!

At ULAM LABS, we’re getting into motion with biking, walking, running, stretching, or even just taking the stairs to the 5th floor of the office (bonus points for that!). Every activity counts!

Last year, we covered 6,200 kilometers together – can we top that?
Fingers crossed :)

Have you heard the story behind our name?

We're betting the answer is "yes," but every good story deserves to stay in the loop and close to the heart.

ULAM LABS is named after the brilliant mathematician Stanisław Ulam, who paved the way for using computers in calculations and remains a constant inspiration in everything we do.

Our logo's "U" shape nods to the Ulam spiral - a clever design he created to reveal hidden patterns in prime numbers. And you guessed it, we have a poster of him in the office, reminding us every day to bring that same curiosity and innovation to our Web3 projects.
