We end this year with a bump! ✨

Last Monday we met at another Alti Tech Meet up, this time in Krakow. We are glad that we had a great turnout this time too, and we had the opportunity to listen to as many as 4 speakers this time -
Bernardo Alvarez, Aleksander Kołata, Jaroslaw Wojciechowski and Jakub Płonka 🤩

Alexander introduced us to the world of integration testing with testcontainers, Kuba shared in quite a detailed way why it is worth buying a 3D printer and how much we can save on it. Jarek told us about FIPS 140 security standards and guidelines. And thanks to Bernardo we were able to explore Java in the cloud with GraalVM. 👨‍🏫

After the interesting lectures we all went to a joint dinner in a festive atmosphere. Thank you to all those who were with us and we see you in spring 2025! 😎

This is the second time when Altimetrik Poland organised presents on the occasion of the Noble Parcel - SZLACHETNA PACZKA ❣️

This nationwide action, in which volunteers support the most needy, also reached us - we chose Mr Jan from Kraków and prepared unforgettable gifts for him - from the most necessary and important (such as household appliances, clothes and food products) to the unforgettable, such as a thematic book about Polish hockey 🏒 🎁

It was a magical Friday for us before the Magic Miracle Weekend (Weekend Cudów) as our family received a Christmas present on last Saturday - there was much emotion and joy 🥰🎁

We would like to thank all employees who got involved in the campaign - those at a distance and, above all, the volunteers on site who last Friday packed the parcels especially for the Miracle Weekend.

It was the nearly 40 employees who dropped off parcels at the office, ordered products online and personally wrapped the presents (and there were 41 parcels) that made the Christmas period memorable for someone 🎁🎁

It is worth remembering that the best gift is to give someone a moment and make them happy.  We can enter the festive season with satisfaction and motivation ❣️

What a meeting we had! 🔥🔥🔥

For the first time in the history of Altimetrik Poland, a stationary meeting was held so that we could listen to the interesting thoughts of the speakers together, learn and share our knowledge and experience. 👾

Behind us were 3 very interesting lectures conducted by Marek Maciejewski, who could talk about Java and its improvements for hours, Kamil Werłaty, who knows everything about the pathology of processes in business, and Maciej Firuta, who knows the answer to the question whether AI will replace the work of programmers. 😎

However, the event would not have been successful to the end if not for the large turnout of our Altimetrians. Thank you for coming in large numbers! 🧡

We already have another event planned for early this December. And this is just the beginning, as we are planning for 2025 such periodic meetings. So stay tuned! ✌️

Not just Alti on a mission or Poland Business Run in September 💪
Not only that, because...

throughout September, employees once again took part in the Strava Challenge and updated their activities or sporting feats from the first day to the last day of the month.

And there is a lot of it - rollerblading, sailing, trekking, workout, biking! 😃

Is this the time to say goodbye to “summer” sports and slowly move into bear mode? 🥶 🐻 Nothing of the sort! 🤠

Keep pushing - thanks for the motivation and joint activities Altimetrians!

The past weekend brought many surprises 🏔

When we started Alti on a mission in March, we didn’t think that we would meet in such a wonderful lineup a few months later in... Poland’s beautiful Tatra Mountains 🏔

This sums up our active and healthy mission, an appreciation of the landscape (okay, there was fog) and the strength of the national park that we all cherish.

We visited the Koscieliska Valley, the Krakow Gorge and the... Dragon’s Den (what an adventure!) 😀

Climate like from Stephen King’s books - fog, coniferous trees, green mixed with autumn, rocks and.... Altimetrik team! 🌧 🌲 🌬 🖤

Thanks for a super weekend - missions completed 💫

This year, we broke our own record for the charity event - the largest number so far, volunteered to participate in this charity run, as many as 15 employees decided to take part in the Fundacja Poland Business Run last Sunday and represented Altimetrik Poland 🏃‍♀️ 💛

🗺 Where?
The run could be done anywhere on earth, the important thing was to register your score, route and time.
🗺 How?
At any pace, because it’s the intention and the noble goal that counts.

Our June tradition came to an end a week ago - that is, we have a summary of sports activities on the occasion of the June Strava Challenge.

Big applause for regularity and activity to all participants!

We awarded 20 employees in the challenge - thank you for your motivation and commitment! 🎇

Where were we and what were we doing?
In the mountains, by the sea, on a bike, trekking in Slovenia, in Barcelona, exploring the Polish summer, walking the dog every day and the traditional workout and gym - last but not least - some played soccer ⁠ 🌍 🏞 🚲 🌞

Enjoy summer every day! ☀

The best integration is when, in addition to meeting together, you can ride a lot of kilometers together and talk a lot or.... overtake each other 🚴🏼‍♀️🚵🏼‍♂️
Last week one of the team from Altimetrik Poland was on a bicycle trip - the team covered a great number of kilometers (about 84) on some of the most beautiful bicycle routes in Poland:
Velo Czorsztyn is a bicycle route around Lake Czorsztyńskie near the Pienińskie National Park in southern Poland and Velo Dunajec - crossing 7 mountain ranges, going around 3 large lakes and 7 castles ⛰️🌲🚴🏼‍♀️
Beautiful views, memories preserved, new place checked - until the next one! 🚵🏼‍♂️😎

🗻 Altimetrians on a mission: Cleaning Tatras do we count the effect or the process?

🧐 Short intro - the mountains are several stages - you may start hiking in a valley, follow a trail, often on a ridge or mountain ridge. You reach the summit and have satisfaction.
✅The process seems simple and effortless, but is it easy for everyone?
❎The effect is views, a specific number of steps and a super photo, but is it satisfying for everyone?

🗻For the past month we have been actively pursuing Mission number 1: health  What it’s about?

In March, we formed a voluntary group of willing people who are participating in the health mission from April to the end of May.
For us, the key aspects of the mission are sports activity, regularity and mobilization - we meet the goals and share the results.
At the end of May “we will leave the valley already on a specific trail”, in order to reach more missions together with a Tatra guide in September.
Also, in September we will continue mission 2: education and mission 3: ecology.

How? Stay and follow our steps 😊

Back to the beginning - do we count the effect or the process? 🧐
Invariably, the most important thing is commitment, cooperation and mutual motivation for the duration of ALL missions 🗻
