Technical skills matter. But they’re not the whole story.

In July and August, around 20 people from Visuality took part in public speaking workshops across 4 sessions.

We worked on things like body language, managing stress and stage fright, and communicating more clearly in front of others.

Not everyone wants to speak at conferences - and that’s completely fine. The useful part is that public speaking skills go far beyond the stage.

Client meetings, presentations, demos, team discussions - all of them benefit from being able to communicate with confidence and clarity.

That’s why we want to invest not only in technical expertise, but also in the skills that help people work better with others.

Some developers like well-defined problems.

Paweł Niemczyk seems perfectly comfortable when things are a little less tidy.

He has joined Visuality as an Expert Full Stack Ruby on Rails Developer, bringing almost two decades of experience, a strong builder mindset and a particular talent for getting complicated projects moving again.

His career has taken him through quite a few worlds - from hospitals and banks to payroll, travel and private aviation - and lately, a lot of his curiosity has been going into practical AI and local models.

Good referrals help us keep showing up for Ruby.

Some projects start with ads or cold outreach. But many of the best conversations start in a much simpler way: someone already knows how we work, trusts us enough to make an introduction, and connects us with a team that needs experienced Ruby on Rails support.

That is the idea behind Friends of Visuality. Witness us. We ride to Brno. 🚗🏍️💨

The Ruby wastelands are calling.

This September, a Visuality convoy is heading south for Euruko 2026 - several Ruby developers, one destination, four wheels… and possibly two.

Okay, the road from Poland to Brno might be slightly less dramatic than Fury Road. There should be fewer sandstorms, fewer explosions and considerably more motorway service stations.

But the mission is important nonetheless: make it to Brno, spend a few days with the European Ruby community, listen to some great talks, meet old and new friends - and secure a proper supply of smažený sýr and Czech beer. 🇨🇿🍺

If you’re heading to EuRuKo as well, look for the Visuality convoy. Come say hi, talk Ruby or just join us for a beer somewhere in Brno.

In his latest article, our CTO Paweł Strzałkowski explains how we think about seniority - from a Mid developer’s independence within a task, through a Senior’s ability to anticipate long-term consequences, to the technical depth and product ownership expected at Master level.

It’s also a look at why experience matters, but time alone doesn’t automatically turn into seniority.

At this point, we’re starting to run out of new ways to announce that Paweł Strzałkowski is speaking at another Ruby on Rails conference.

And yet, somehow, he keeps giving us reasons to try. 😅

Paweł is returning to Rails World - for the second year in a row.

This time, our CTO will take the stage in Austin with From Prompt to Rails: An Online Rails App Generator.

Being a speaker at Rails World once is something to be proud of. Coming back the following year makes us even happier to see Paweł’s work and ideas recognized by the wider Rails community.

And the trip won’t be just about the talk.

Paweł will also join Rails at Scale Summit, together with another member of our team - Jarek Kowalewski - for a day of discussions with engineers working on some of the more demanding challenges of building and scaling Rails applications.

So yes, another conference. Another Paweł announcement.
