1998 saw the formation of the self-contained company “Siemens Nixdorf Retail and Banking Systems GmbH” which now set about sharpening its profile in the banking and retail sectors as a wholly-owned Siemens subsidiary. A year later Wincor Nixdorf has presented itself as an independent company with global reach. In May 2004 the company had its debut at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange recognised by experts as one of the most successful ones that year with 9.2 million shares sold. Headquartered in Germany, Paderborn, the company employs more than 9 000 employees aroudnd the world with local offices in 110 countries. Factories are located in Paderborn, Singapore, Shanghai and Sao Paolo. Wincor Nixdorf takes the 1st place in Europe and the 2nd place in the world in the number of installed POS systems as well as the 2nd place both in Europe and in the world in the number of installed ATMs. The main office is located in Warsaw, regional offices in Krakow, Katowice and Wroclaw. The Services division relies on its own countrywide technical service and support network, professional 24/7 Call Desk and Call Center as well Monitoring and Commissioning Center. In 2011 Global Customer Care Center began ist operations in Warsaw. GCCC is a global service hub for Europe East and Nordics dedicated to handling service requests as well as 1st and 2nd line technical support for international contracts. In October 2012 Wincor Nixdorf decided to establish in Poland Regional Administration Center - shared service center dedicated to handling Offer to Cash, Accounting and Services processes for Eastern and Western Europe.
