What happens when real production scenarios make their way into the classroom? 🤔

The summer semester is about to begin for students 🧑‍🎓 , so it’s a perfect moment to look back at what our colleagues delivered in the previous one.

During the winter semester, Wojciech Czyżycki and Maciej Kozłowski led the “Fundamentals of Cloud Solutions” course at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Politechnika Krakowska im. Tadeusza Kościuszki for 56 students. The program combined 30 hours of lectures with 30 hours of hands-on labs.

💬 “From day one, our goal was simple: show cloud as it’s used in real engineering teams — practical implementations, real trade-offs, and solutions designed to be not only architecturally sound, but also maintainable in production,” Wojciech said.

💬 “We covered AWS and Azure, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and designing cloud solutions that scale in real systems. The lab sessions were built around scenarios inspired by commercial projects, and our day-to-day experience as DevOps and Cloud Engineers at Grand Parade directly shaped both the format and the topic selection,” Maciej added.

We’re proud to support this kind of university–industry collaboration — and we’re already looking forward to meeting the next group of students in the upcoming edition of the course.

Who says an office has to be empty after hours?

This year, ours often wasn’t. It was full of life- just in a different rhythm.
After work, we opened our space to seniors.

We hosted a 10th anniversary celebration of a Seniors’ Club, complete with music and dancing. Our office also became the place for a shared Christmas Eve gathering of two local seniors’ clubs: warm, communal, and full of conversation. And when letters arrived from Nowa Huta, written simply and honestly, the response felt obvious: we prepared over 50 Christmas gifts for seniors, based on their real needs.

These weren’t big, flashy gestures.
They were quiet, thoughtful actions -sharing space, giving time, showing care.

Beyond our daily responsibilities, it’s these moments of giving and connection that really count.
Especially now, just before the holidays 🎄

In a time when many of us talk about switching off from technology, it’s easy to forget that for some generations, technology can feel like a growing barrier. Without support from younger people, staying connected or discovering new possibilities can be a real challenge.

That’s why a group of our colleagues recently volunteered to run a workshop at the local Seniors’ Club. The focus was artificial intelligence: not just as a concept, but as a tool that can help in everyday life.

What started with curiosity and a touch of apprehension quickly turned into an inspiring conversation. The seniors surprised us with their awareness, sharp questions, and genuine interest, as they explored how AI could support them in practical ways.

A special thanks to our volunteers: Aleksandra Czerwik Iryna Marchenko Paweł Opozda Krzysztof Hallala. It was a real pleasure to see you step out of your usual day-to-day work and take on the role of guides and mentors.

The answer – three times YES!

As part of our CSR & community engagement, our amazing volunteers turned our office into a dance floor to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Uskrzydleni Wiekiem Seniors’ Club. It was a day filled with unforgettable moments – from a lively trivia quiz to a salsa lesson and plenty of dancing.
We are proud to have made this dream come true and proven once again that when people come together with heart and creativity, magic happens. 💚

Last week, at Grand Parade was all about paws-itive vibes 🐾

For one day one of the office floors was literally overtaken by dogs 🐕 a.k.a our official wellbeing boosters.Those extra legs in the office proved to be a perfect icebreaker, bringing together colleagues from different teams and departments.

But it wasn't just about dogs. Cat lovers 🐈 turned our Slack into a professional auction platform. Until very last second we competed until for the privilege of choosing names for three cats from the local animal shelter. One of them has been named Sławosz🧑‍🚀
