Cables sleeving with paracord.

In this episode I would like to show You the process of cables transformation.
Sleeving is a very time-consuming operation. Patience, appropriate tools and the base of “know how” are required to get started. I did “only” a extensions for main cables from scratch – 24pin ATX, 2x ESP, 8pin VGA and few for fans.

Hard tube bending. This is a very complex process consist of many things:
-type of tube,
-dimension of tube,
-diameter of inset,
-workplace,
-the width of the tube heating,
-number of bends on one section,
-desired angles,

…and of course skills of the operator. ;)

Each bend has to be as much precise as it can. If You are making very tight curves sometimes tenth of the millimetre counts. If the dimension will be wrong, bend will be too width/too narrow and tube won’t get into the fitting.

If You are starting Your adventure with tubes You should begin from simple 90 degree bends and learn how the material (plexi tube) behaves . After few unsuccessful attempts each next one will be better for sure.

Let's go through the process of mounting water blocks on my hardware.
CPUs – 2x Bitspower Summit EF with Acrylic/ICE Black top,
MoBo – Bitspower EI5520CSR2,
GPU – EK FC 1080 Nickel-Plexi,
RAMs – 2x EK Monarch X6 Nickel + custom tops made by Skeeper,
Few words about motherboard full cover blocks:
EK water block is cooling “only” the most important parts/chips (north + south bridges, CPU powering sections) but the Bitspower one is dealing with nearly all heating up parts of SR-2.
The choice was obvious.

If You are planning to build Your PC with liquid cooling, You should consider many, many things. Personally - I'd been looking for some the answers for many days. Let's start with the CASE - which one will be roomy enough to fit such huge motherboard with bunch of liquid cooling toys? Not so many case producers are still supporting HPTX format in their constructions. I also looked around for some piece from second hand but with no luck. When I found something interesting which was able to hold my motherboard many other difficulties automatically showed up. Then I found project based on Thermaltake Core WP100 case. This is not a case. This is a MONSTER. Finding a model was one step from a few more to go. I had no idea how it will looks like with all my hardware and LC parts and I had to decide on something. The choice fell on TT WP100. Immediately another problem appeared – availability of if on Polish market. I wrote dozens of emails to the main pc stores in Poland and made more phone calls if anyone would help me with ordering it. I have to mention that this case consists from two separated parts - Core W100 and Core P100 which combine with each other give us enormous super tower WP100 case with weight around 31 kg ! Finally I got a positive answer and Thermaltake Core WP100 come to my doorstep.
Any build with liquid cooling requires a LOT of patient from the beginning to the end and You have to accept it.

I’d like to share with you my private, fully liquid cooled PC build on the basis of the legendary HPTX motherboard – EVGA Classified SR-2.
Let’s roll with the most interesting thing – Hardware!
MoBo: EVGA SR-2,
CPU: 2x Intel Xeon X5660 6c/12t each,
RAM: 6x4GB Corsair Dominator GT 2000MHz + 6x4GB Kingston HyperX 1600MHz,
GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 ACX 3.0 SC 8GB,
PSU: EVGA SuperNova G2 750W,
SSD: Crucial MX200 250GB.
Case: Thermaltake WP100.
Be aware of one thing. This project is 99% finished so if you by chance find an advanced picture of it – do not look. An interesting story will pass you by. 😉
