Medius Hosted Another Software Craftsmanship Meetup: DORA State of DevOps 2024!
We had the pleasure of bringing Cracow's IT professionals together for this insightful event.
The session took the form of a reading club, where we explored topics, such as AI adoption, emerging DevOps trends, DORA metrics, Platform Engineering, and user-centric development.
Over two hours, participants split into two groups to review the report and share experiences on implementing AI, introducing CI/CD, and shifting priorities towards AI-driven solutions.
We were excited to host participants from diverse backgrounds, including database developers, entrepreneurs, and executives.
The meetup wrapped up with a survey to select the next topic and valuable networking opportunities.

Po dłuższej przerwie kontynuujemy serię spotkań reading clubu. Tym razem zajmiemy się tematem DORA State of DevOps Report 2024 - raportu opublikowanego 3 miesiące temu przez Google Cloud zajmującego się badaniem technologii używanych w firmach IT i poziomu adopcji praktyk wykorzystywanych w tworzeniu software'u.

Zapraszamy na spotkanie reading clubu w trakcie którego:

📖zapoznamy się kluczowymi fragmentami raportu
🤼przedyskutujemy bardziej lub mniej kontrowersyjne wnioski z tegorocznego raportu

W ostatnim czasie nawiązaliśmy współpracę z Politechnika Krakowska im. Tadeusza Kościuszki przy studiach podyplomowych UX/UI Design. Od dwóch lat dzielimy się swoją wiedzą jako wykładowcy i mentorzy, a teraz - jako oficjalny partner AI i Innowacji - mamy jeszcze większy wpływ na rozwój przyszłych specjalistów projektowania cyfrowego.

Kolejna - już trzecia - edycja programu startuje w marcu 2025. W ramach współpracy dzielimy się wiedzą z zakresu projektowania produktów cyfrowych - od strategii, przez modele biznesowe, po efektywną pracę zespołową.

Hi everyone!
We would like to share with you some insights about the latest meetup in Cracow's Office 🙂
Last Saturday, Medius hosted the 2024 edition of the Global Day of Coderetreat, a global community event for software developers who want to practice Test-Driven Development and various programming skills.
The event is hosted worldwide, typically by local developer communities and sponsored by tech companies.
This year, there were 42 events held globally.
Together with our dedicated employees we organized five intense workshop sessions, which covered practicing TDD, clean-code principles and some coding challenges. The last session was fully dedicated to AI, where we have challenged the participants to use the prompts and latest LLM models instead of writing the code at all!
In total, we had 30 participants who attended the all-day (9 AM to 5 PM) workshop on Saturday, making us one of the largest Coderetreat events worldwide. The audience was a mix of experienced software developers with various tech stacks and junior/intern developers. We had 52 people sign up for the event (we had 40 seats plus 12 people on the waiting list).
Once again, we would like to thank all the participants for the great atmosphere and thier passion to making software!
