Our main takeaways from the sessions:

🍽️ Who’s emptying the dishwasher?
Robert Dzido and Jakub Kochańczyk (Almarise) tackled a big question: If everyone has access to the same AI tools, where is the competitive advantage? Using a great analogy about the evolution of dishwashing, they reminded us that tech gets us 90% of the way there - but a human still has to unpack the machine. True advantage lies in how your team handles that final 10%.

🧘 Staying Sane in Agile
Jacek Wieczorek (Agile247) delivered an absolute must-watch session on how to navigate the non-stop, dynamic shifts in today's IT world - and, more importantly, how not to lose your mind in the process.

🔎 A Realistic Look at Atlassian New Feature Drops
Krystian Różycki (Almarise) gave a much-needed, cool-headed assessment of upcoming product and AI changes, separating the high-value features from the mere noise.

🔒 Scale & Security at Alior Bank
Artur Karpisz and Witold Zabdyr (Alior Bank SA) pulled back the curtain on a massive enterprise challenge: smoothly managing permissions and access control during major organizational restructurings.

📊 Work vs. Effort
We also had our own moment on stage! Paweł Indyk broke down the crucial difference between tracking "Work" versus truly understanding where a team’s "Effort" goes - the key to making conscious, data-driven business decisions. Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth afterward to keep the discussion going!

Beyond the insights, Almarise knocked the atmosphere out of the park - complete with great networking and a brilliant touch of stargazing at the Copernicus Science Centre planetarium. 🌟

Our first time in Romania, and what a way to start!

From the moment we arrived, the entire Work Evolution Summit community made us feel incredibly welcome. Life in Codes really knows how to build an event around the Atlassian ssian ecosystem. Great content, great people, and the perfect balance between knowledge sharing and community spirit. 👏

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by the SolDevelo booth. The conversations, questions, insights, and feedback we received were outstanding. 🫶

What stood out the most was the quality of the discussions. WES clearly attracts people who know what they want from the tools and solutions they invest in. We met decision-makers, practitioners, and leaders who came prepared, asked the right questions, challenged assumptions, and focused on real business outcomes. The vibe was fantastic, and the conversations were refreshingly concrete.

While we spent most of our time talking with attendees, we still managed to catch a few sessions that left a lasting impression.
🔹 Sven Peters reminded us that AI alone is not the answer. The real opportunity lies in combining AI capabilities with human skills, judgment, and creativity.
🔹 During the Team ’26 recap, Tsung-Yu (Darryl) Lee showed how Teamwork Graph and Rovo Dev can amplify team performance and help organizations work smarter. Takeaway: the best way to encourage developers to adopt new AI tools is by integrating them into their daily workflows and letting the value speak for itself.
🔹 Peter Van de Voorde (The Harley Club) demonstrated how quickly you can build an application with the right prompts and shared practical tips that will definitely make our next experiments smoother. And thank you as well for reminding us of some legendary Atlassian community videos. Those who know, know. 😉
🔹 Tatiana Neamtu (ABS Laundry Business Solutions) showed why understanding people, the way we work, and the traps we naturally fall into is essential for any successful company transformation. Thanks also for the fantastic conversation at our booth - we definitely left with enough inspiration to become busy bumblebees. 🐝
🔹 Over coffee, 👋🏻 Björn Döhler (resolution GmbH) promised to show us how AI can help reduce noise, save time, and improve efficiency. If you're serious about understanding what practical AI agents can do for your organization, Bjorn is someone you absolutely should talk to.

Finally, a huge thank you to Life in Codes for creating an event that delivered both outstanding content and a genuine sense of community.

"You bastards." 📝
That’s what Alexis Ohanian wrote on his LSAT paper before walking out to start what would eventually become Reddit, Inc. It’s a classic reminder: one moment of bold authenticity can change everything.

That story set the tone for the closing keynote at Atlassian Team ’26, with Mike Cannon-Brookes and Alexis Ohanian Sr. The big takeaway: In an era of synthetic content, imperfection and genuine human relationships are our most valuable currencies.

From ideation to reality 🚀
What made this year different? We moved past the vision stage. It was incredible to see so many ready-to-use tools live on stage - like the new Product Collection and the expansion of Atlassian Rovo. The centralization of the "System of Work" is happening right now.

It’s always about the people 🤝
Reconnecting with old friends and meeting new ones reminded us that high-value conversations and true partnerships are even more powerful face to face than through a screen. Thank you to everyone who helped us make great memories for the past week!

It’s been great catching up with so many familiar faces from the Atlassian sian ecosystem this week. Beyond the coffee and networking, the real takeaway for us has been seeing how Atlassian is moving past AI hype into actual, practical use cases for transformation.

Here are the highlights that caught our attention:

🧠 "ROVO is everywhere, but context is everything."
The keynote with Mike Cannon-Brookes, Sherif Mansour, and Tamar Yehoshua hit on a massive point: AI is useless if it doesn't understand your specific business. The Teamwork Graph is what makes this work. (The highlight was definitely Sherif "risking his career" to show how Rovo could instantly track down "Uncle Mike’s" last commit. 😄)

💡 Smart decisions with Jira Product Discovery
Kavita A. Umdekar (Pearson) showed how JPD is helping teams cut through the noise by surfacing the specific insights that actually move the needle for customers.

🏎️ Mercedes-Benz: AI in the real world
It was great to see Tobias Langjahr back on stage. We heard about their move from DC to Cloud at Team ’25 in Barcelona, and now we’re witnessing the next step. Seeing a giant like Mercedes-Benz use the Teamwork Graph and Rovo to drive efficiency is a solid blueprint for any large-scale AI transformation.

📣 Fixing the feedback loop
Mehdi Boudoukhane introduced the new Feedback app, which looks like a lifesaver for product managers. It aggregates feedback from everywhere and uses AI to map out which pain points actually deserve your attention first.
