🇯🇵 Next stop: Osaka!

We're happy to announce that Voldeno sp. z o.o. has been selected for the Łódzkie region trade mission to Global Startup EXPO 2026 in Osaka, Japan (October 5-7)! It's one of the world's key deep-tech events, where startups, investors, corporates and public institutions meet to talk about commercialising breakthrough technology.

For us, it's a chance to show the Asian market what we're building in Łódź: a modular building automation system, including our own DIN-rail hardware, the Voldeno Studio configuration tool and a mobile app. All designed and manufactured in-house, on our own SMT line.

Japan is one of the most demanding and most mature building automation markets in the world. All the more reason to test our approach there and look for technology and distribution partners.

🚀 From Łódzkie straight to the world stage - Web Summit 2026!

We're proud to share that Voldeno sp. z o.o. has been selected to represent the Łódzkie region at Web Summit 2026 in Lisbon (November 9-12)!

Our participation in Web Summit 2026 is carried out as part of the project "InterEuropa – internationalization of companies from the Łódzkie region through participation in trade events and expansion into European markets," co-financed under the regional program Fundusze Europejskie dla Łódzkiego 2021-2027.

This is another big step after taking part in the Innovation Challenge by Łódzkie - and a great opportunity to introduce our smart, energy-efficient building automation platform to installers and partners from around the world.

Why do relay contacts in a distribution board weld shut after two years? Usually, because of inrush current at turn-on and arcing at turn-off.

In the Voldeno I/O and RELAY modules, we solved this in software. A dedicated ADC circuit tracks the mains voltage sine wave, and the module firmware times the relay so that the contacts close and open at a voltage near 0 V. No surge, no arcing, on every cycle of every AC output.

The article includes microscope photos from our relay tests: what contacts destroyed by arc discharges look like, next to a contact after a comparable number of cycles under gentle commutation conditions.

At Google Cloud Next '26 in Las Vegas, an Industry 4.0 factory on the show floor ran on Voldeno modules.

The rig: Fischertechnik Training Factory, a training and R&D platform used by engineering universities. Five production stations with motors, pulse encoders, pneumatic valves, and color sorting.

The full stack: one Hub and eight I/O modules. No PLC, no Raspberry Pi. Every sensor event and encoder tick went to Google Cloud Manufacturing Data Engine through Pub/Sub in real time, while control logic ran locally on the Hub.
