After listening to Sir Kashan’s lecture about offers, I understood that a strong and well designed offer can break customer loyalty and completely reshape a market.
I also realized how powerful offer strategy is in changing customer behavior and business results.

In 2008, while studying in Lahore, I noticed something interesting on the road from Mini Market to Hafeez Centre. The area was full of “Coming Soon” flex boards. The designs were simple circles, and no one clearly understood what was launching.
At that time, the telecom market was already very competitive. Brands like Jazz, Warid, Telenor, and Ufone were dominating the industry with strong student friendly and low cost packages. It genuinely felt almost impossible for a new player to enter and succeed.
But when Zong entered the market, everything changed.
They didn’t just launch a SIM card they introduced a powerful offer strategy. Their aggressive, value-packed bundles made customers switch networks even loyal users moved because the offer was simply better.

A strong, well designed offer can break customer loyalty and completely reshape a market.

1. Positioning (What do people remember about you?) 📍

Positioning means:
What is the first thing a business owner thinks when they hear your name?

Most agencies say:
❌ “We run Facebook & Instagram ads”

But that’s weak because everyone is saying the same thing.

Strong positioning sounds like this:
✅ “We help small local businesses turn social media into daily sales not just likes.”

Now it’s clear. Now it’s valuable. Now it’s memorable.

👉 If your message is not clear, you become just another option.
👉 If your message is sharp, you become the first choice.

2. Messaging (How you deliver your idea) 💬

Positioning is the idea.
Messaging is how you communicate that idea.

Your posts, ads, captions, and videos should all say one thing again and again:

✔ We bring customers, not just traffic
✔ We focus on sales, not vanity metrics
✔ We understand local businesses

People may forget your service details…
But they will remember how clearly you spoke to their problem.

3. Simple Framework to Build a Strong Brand 🛠️

Ask yourself these 3 questions:

1. Clarity
Who do you help?
👉 Small shops, salons, gyms, restaurants

2. Difference
What makes you different?
👉 You focus on real sales, not just boosting posts

3. Proof
Why should they trust you?
👉 Results, testimonials, or clear promises

If your content answers these 3 things.
You don’t need to chase clients. Clients start noticing you.

Weak vs Strong Example 💡

❌ Weak:
“I provide social media marketing services.”

✅ Strong:
“I help local businesses turn Rs.1000 ad spend into consistent daily customers.”

See the difference?
One is a service.
The other is a result.

Slogan:“Where Scrolling Turns Into Sales.”

Conclusion 🔥

If you don’t define your position.
The market will define you as average.

But if you clearly say:
👉 Who you help
👉 How you help
👉 What result you bring

You win attention, trust, and business all together.

If you’re a local business owner struggling to get customers from social media.

From Sir Kashan Zafar’s insights on Human psychology, I understood that people don’t simply buy products or services — they buy emotions, solutions, and identity-driven experiences.

Human psychology plays a powerful role in influencing customer decisions. There are 6 key psychological triggers:

FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) → People are driven by the fear of missing better opportunities
Desire for Status → People want premium experiences that elevate their social image
Social Proof → Reviews, testimonials, and real experiences build instant trust
Trust (Influence & Authority) → People follow recommendations from credible voices and personalities
Scarcity & Urgency → Limited availability pushes faster decision-making
Belonging / Identity → People want to be part of a meaningful community and shared experience

Marketing Application

In practical marketing:

Ad Copy creates emotional connection and attention hooks
Logical Proof (reviews, testimonials, results) builds credibility and trust
Funnels guide the customer journey strategically
Middle Funnel → Trust building stage
Bottom Funnel → Decision and urgency stage

In digital marketing, everything starts with a strategy, and a good strategy starts with research. Without knowing the market, marketing becomes unclear and less effective.
Research means understanding what customers want, what problems they have, and what they are interested in. It also includes studying current trends and customer behavior.
When you clearly know your audience, you can create better ads, better content, and better results.

Competitor Research Insights (Shoe Market)

Insights from Sir Kashan Zafar highlight a simple truth:
Marketing is not about what you say, it’s about what people remember.
If your positioning is clear, you win.
If it’s confusing, you’re invisible.

What is Positioning?
Strong brands don’t fight for attention—they own a position in the customer’s mind.
In simple words, when someone hears a brand name, one clear thing immediately comes to mind. That thing is called positioning.
For example:
• When people hear iPhone, they think: expensive, premium, high quality, and status.
• When people hear Infinix, they think: affordable and value for money.
This instant thinking is called positioning.

Three Ways of Positioning
a. Price / Value
A brand can position itself based on price and value:
• Luxury → high price + high quality
• Budget → low price + daily use
b. Audience
A brand must decide its target audience according to age and life style:
• Kids
• Youth
• Families
• Professionals
• Middle class, upper class, or elite class
Examples:
• Kids → colorful and fun products
• Middle class → daily use products
• Professionals → simple and classy products

c. Unique Feature
This is the most important part.
A brand must have something special that others do not have.
Examples:
• Medicated sole in shoes
• Chemical-free skincare
This makes the brand different from others.

Real Market Example
Brands like Wall’s and Omore earned a lot from ice cream products.
But when people became aware that these are not pure ice cream, their positioning became weak.
On the other hand, Hico is getting stronger because of better quality positioning because the only one brand that give pure 100% ice cream in Pakistan.

What is Messaging?
Messaging is how a brand communicates its positioning.
It means:
• What words do you use
• How you speak
• Your tone
Examples:
Premium Brand:
• Exclusive
• Pure quality
• Handcrafted

Budget Brand:
• Affordable
• Daily use
• Best price

Role of Marketer
A marketer must decide:
• Is the brand premium?
• Budget?
• Or in the middle?

Biggest Mistake
The biggest mistake is trying to be everything at the same time.
For example:
“Premium quality at the cheapest price”
This creates confusion.
A person cannot ride two boats at the same time.
• Middle-class people may not come because of the word “premium.”
• Elite people may not come because of the word “cheap.”

Conclusion
Positioning = Who you are
Messaging = How you tell people
A brand must keep both clear and consistent.

Brand Positioning Statement

“Natural, sugar-free energy bars crafted from premium dates and nuts to deliver clean, sustained energy.”

Ad Copy 1

“Fuel your body the clean way.”
Experience long-lasting energy with sugar-free bars made from real dates and nuts—built for focus, performance, and endurance.

Ad Copy 2

“Real energy comes from real ingredients.”
No refined sugar. No artificial additives. Just pure, natural fuel designed for people who never slow down.

Today’s lecture is about how to increase sales using a strong hook. A good hook includes value, urgency, scarcity, and offers. From small street businesses to big brands, everyone uses these techniques because they attract customers and boost sales.
As marketers, these elements are very important. In our previous class, we studied customer psychology from pain points to identity and status. These concepts also play a big role at every stage of understanding the customer.
But here, we focus on local (gali/mohalla) businesses, because elite customers are only about 15% of the population and are less influenced by offers. Most businesses target the remaining 85% (lower middle, middle, and upper-middle class), and these people are highly attracted to value, urgency, scarcity, and deals.
Now, let’s take a real example:
My client run a milk shop that sells milk, cream, butter, and Cottage Cheese, but its desi ghee is the most famous product. The reason is its strong aroma and high quality—when added to food, it makes everything more delicious.
Prices:
• Desi Ghee: 3500 PKR/kg
• Butter: 2200 PKR/kg
• Cottage Cheese: 3000 PKR/kg
Even though all products are high quality, the business is mainly known because of its desi ghee, which builds its brand image.
Urgency
 Fresh batch selling fast don’t wait or you’ll miss it.
 Order now before the stock runs out!
 Limited time window to get your favorite desi ghee fresh today.
Scarcity
 Only 23–25 kg available in this batch
 Limited production — not mass produced
 Stock ends fast due to high demand
 Regular customers book early — little left for new orders.

Offers
Offer 1 – Small Buy
1 kg Desi Ghee → 250g Butter FREE
• Limited Time: Only for today
• Delivery: Free within city
• CTA: “Order now before it’s gone!”

Offer 2 – Family Pack
3 kg Desi Ghee → 500g Cottage Cheese FREE
• Limited Time: This week only (7 days)
• Delivery: Free within city
• CTA: “Grab your family pack today!”

Offer 3 – Value Pack (Big Buy)
5 kg Desi Ghee → 500g Butter + 500g Cottage Cheese FREE
• Limited Time: Two week only (14 days)
• Delivery: Free within city
• CTA: “Get the maximum value — order now!”

Recently, I explored valuable insights on customer psychology shared by Sir Kashan Zafar. He explained how customers move through different stages before making a purchase, and why understanding this journey is essential for effective marketing.
Applying this to the clothing business, it becomes clear that success is not just about products — it’s about delivering the right message at the right stage. From grabbing attention to building trust and finally driving action, every step matters.
Strong marketing always comes from understanding people, not just selling to them.

If we show a high-status product to someone at the first stage, the result will be zero, because the customer is not ready yet.
So, always design marketing according to the customer’s psychology and stage.

Clothing

1. Pain Point (Problem)
Everyone wants to look good and presentable at functions or gatherings.
But the problem starts when:
• They don’t have a new outfit
• Or their clothes look too simple or outdated
• In gatherings, they feel others are more stylish than them
In this situation, they compromise
And buy from a normal shop just to feel:
“At least I don’t look completely out of place”
Ad Copy

Hook:
“Got a function or party coming up… but need a new suit on a budget?”
Body:
“Wearing an old or simple outfit and seeing others looking stylish and thinking:
‘I wish I looked good too…’
Don’t worry!
Our shop [Client Shop Name] has affordable and good-quality suits that make you look confident at any gathering.”

CTA:
“Come today and pick your suit — stylish look, pocket-friendly price!”

2. Desire / Need
At the next stage, their mindset changes:
• They do have clothes, but the fabric is low quality
• The fitting is not good
• The overall look feels average and doesn’t stand out
Now they want:
• Premium fabric
• Perfect fitting
• A stylish and modern look
They start visiting better or branded stores
So that in any event:
“People notice them and they feel confident”

Ad Copy
Hook:
“Tired of old, plain outfits that don’t make you stand out?”
Body:
“You deserve better fabric, perfect fitting, and a stylish look — the kind that makes you confident at every function.
Come to [Client Shop Name] we have top-quality fabrics and a variety of branded clothes to choose from.
Now, when you enter a party or gathering:
People notice you, and you feel confident in your style!”
CTA:
“Upgrade your look today — look stylish, feel confident, stay noticed!”

3. Identity / Status
Now the game completely changes .They are not just buying clothes anymore
They are building their identity
At this stage, they:
• Choose famous brands or designer stores
• Prefer imported or high-quality fabric
• Focus on styling and details
Why?
Because they want to become:
• “A person with elite class taste”
• “A classy and trendy personality”
• “Someone who stands out everywhere”
And when they attend any function:
They don’t feel hesitation
Their confidence reflects in their personality
Ad Copy
Hook:
“Clothes aren’t just fabric… they are your statement.”
Body:
“At [Client Brand Name], every piece is designed for those who value excellence, elegance, and distinction.
• Imported fabrics, impeccable designer details, and flawless tailoring
• For those who don’t follow trends… they define them
• Walk into any gathering and command attention effortlessly
This is for people who aspire to be:
• Elite and distinguished
• Classy, confident, and trendsetting
• The one everyone admires
When you wear [Client Brand Name]:
Your presence speaks volumes
Style becomes your signature”
CTA:
“Step into [Client Brand Name] — where your identity meets perfection.”

Real Estate Society – Marketing Funnel + AIDA Model

1- ATTENTION (Awareness Stage)

Hook (Attention Grabber):
“Just 2 minutes away from the city… but offering peace, cleanliness, and a secure lifestyle!”

What Happens Here:
At this stage, people hear about the society for the first time. The focus is on attracting those who are tired of city noise, rush, and pollution, and want a peaceful place to live.

Goal:
• Reach maximum people
• Show that this is a unique and peaceful housing option

Best Content:
• Social media ads: “Escape city noise, live in peace”
• Drone videos of green areas
• Short videos showing clean roads and calm environment
• Emotional message: “Choose a better life for your family”

2-INTEREST (Consideration Stage)

• Peaceful and green environment
• Underground electricity
• Wide roads
• Separate parks in every block
• 3, 5, 10 marla plots
• Commercial area (shops, bank, fast food)

• Water filtration plants

Goal:
• Build trust
• Show that it offers a complete lifestyle

Best Content:
• Brochures
• Society map and plot details
• Video tours
• Comparison with other societies
• Posts highlighting facilities

3- DESIRE (Decision Stage)

What Happens Here:
Now the customer seriously thinks about buying. You need to convince them emotionally and logically.
Strong Selling Points (to create desire):

High Security:
• CCTV cameras
• Security guards
• Single main gate
• Boundary wall with protection

Peaceful Living Rules:
• No illegal activities
• No loud music or fights
• No private guards
• No dangerous pets

This makes the customer feel:
“This is not just a plot; it’s a safe and disciplined lifestyle.”

• Make it feel like the best living and investment option

4- ACTION (Purchase Stage)

What Happens Here:
Now the customer is ready to buy. You push them with offers and urgency.

Offers:
• Affordable price per Marla
• First 5 customers → 20% discounts on down payment
• Next 10 customers → 10% discounts on down payment

Call to Action:
• “Book your plot today”
• “Limited plots available”
• “First come, first serve”
Goal:
• Close the deal

Marketing Mindset:
Today, I listened to Sir Kashan Zafar’s lecture and one thing became very clear:
What we learn as Meta Ads and run for clients is only 5% of business advertising.
The other 95% is marketing mindset and marketing vision. 💡

There are 4P’s of Marketing:
Product: What are you selling?
Price: How much does it cost?
Place: Where are you selling it?
Promotion: How are you promoting it?

Marketing = The full strategy: product planning + pricing + audience + sales plan
Advertising = A small part: ads, posters, social media promotion

If we focus only on 5% (ads) and ignore the 95% mindset, results will never come. 🚫

But this doesn’t mean the 5% isn’t important.
Both need to work together, but your main focus should be on marketing mindset.

The Core of Marketing:
Understand people’s needs and desires
Turn desires into a perceived necessity
This mindset covers the journey from barter system to modern online business:
Back then, people exchanged goods directly
Today, services and products are promoted online
Create fear or hope → so people naturally get attracted

Example – Packaged Milk 🥛:

Fear: “Raw milk may contain harmful bacteria or the milkman might add chemicals”
Hope: “Packaged milk keeps my child strong and healthy, with no nutrient deficiencies”

This is the magic of a marketing mindset ✨ – understanding psychology to naturally attract people.

✅ Lesson: Ads are useful, but 95% of results come from marketing mindset.
This page is about real learning.
