Job brief
We are looking for an SEM expert to manage all pay-per-click (PPC) marketing activities.
The Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Specialist will manage all paid search campaigns on Google, Yahoo and Bing, as well as other search and display marketing engines.
A successful SEM Specialist will effectively manage the paid search budget and work with the SEO and Marketing team in order to maximize ROI, drive traffic, and customers.
Responsibilities
1) Execute tests, collect and analyze data, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns
2) Track, report, and analyze website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns
3) Manage campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies
4) Optimize copy and landing pages for paid search engine marketing campaigns
5) Perform ongoing paid keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
6) Research and analyze competitor advertising links
Requirements
1) 3 years of experience as Search Engine Marketing Specialist or similar role
2) 3 years of experience with planning and implementing a successful SEO strategy
3) Proven SEM experience and success managing PPC campaigns across Google, Yahoo and Bing
4) Well-versed in performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
5) Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in search engine marketing
6) In-depth experience with bid management tools (e.g., Click Equations, Marin, Kenshoo, Search Ignite)
7) Experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
8) Strong analytical skills and experience generating SEM reports
9) Familiarity with A/B and multivariate experiments
10) Proven success in SEO
11) 3 years of experience web analytics, marketing, and business development
12) Experience with A/B testing and other testing metrics
13) Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
14) Ability to analyze data and provide evidence-based recommendations
15) Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
16) Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
17) Team player
18) Good time-management skills
19) Great interpersonal and communication skills
20) Degree in relevant quantitative fields.
21) Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
22) BS degree in Marketing or a quantitative, test-driven field
