Humans have always wondered about our origins — tracing our beginnings back to the Big Bang 13.7 Billion years ago.

But how can we “see” that far ago?

Light from galaxies takes billions of years to travel to earth. If we can take an image of a galaxy really far away, we can “see” what they looked like billions of years ago.

So NASA built the James Webb telescope, and today released its first image. What you are seeing is a real image showing the galaxy cluster SMACS 0723 as it appeared 4.6 billion years ago. We are inching closer to understanding mysteries of the universe, and, maybe, our creation ….
