Dear Computer Society Family,
Signing off today as the Female President of the Computer Society feels both emotional and surreal.
I joined this society as a general member and today, I’m leaving as the Female President. For me, that’s not just a title, it’s a huge achievement and an honor I’ll carry with me forever.
Computer Society gave me more than events, workshops, and competitions. It gave me confidence, shaped my personality, taught me how to lead, how to speak up, and how to believe in myself.
Yes, balancing society events with studies was hectic. The bhaag-dorr, the late-night planning, the rushing here and there for arrangements, the exhaustion, it was all real. But somehow, it was also the most fun. Every tired day was full of love, laughter, and teamwork.
I learned so much from our seniors first. They guided me and showed me what dedication looks like. Then, with my amazing cabinet members, I learned about responsibility, pressure, and how to turn crazy ideas into successful events.
And our board room... we have so many core memories there. From serious meetings to random gupshup and last-minute decisions, that room holds a piece of all of us.
To me, Computer Society was never just a society. It’s a family. It gave me an identity in the department, a place where I belonged, and people who became a second home.
Thank you to every member, senior, and junior who made this journey beautiful. Thank you for trusting me and for making my term so memorable.
I’m stepping down from this role, but I’ll always be a proud member of this family. Computer Society will always have a piece of my heart.
With gratitude and love,
Shafaq Bukhari
